Well it doesn’t look like anyone wants to advocate for children starving in the streets.  If you follow that through to its logical conclusion you end up with a system not dissimilar to the current system.

I don't think that you have even started to make the case that B is necessarily the outcome of A above.

After all, here in the good ol' US of A, we've have generations of so-called 'progressive' governmental meddling in how society need be structured in order to be compassionate for the 'have-nots' and the 'not-willing-to-lift-a-finger-to-get-its', and the result is actually larger and larger percentages of people living hardscrabble lives.

I don't know about party affiliations but it seems to me that every citizen of a country should be given the exact same benefit of any social program. Managing any kind of rules requires an administrative burden. For each edge case or unique circumstance, there are 1000 administrative types in an office somewhere processing paperwork/requests/waivers. Make it universal or don't do it.

If we are giving welfare to one person, then we give it to every registered citizen. If that means everyone gets 500 a month, indexed for inflation, then that's what it means. Most of that monthly benefit would get pumped back into the economy and since fiat value is not based on anything really, the cost of the system could be calculated into the inflation of the USD and paid for by the FED rather than the US Government. The fed is going to stimulate the economy anyway, why not do it at the citizen level rather than the bank level? Call it the base cost of a having a population of citizens. Like oil revenues for Alaska residents. I mean, the country technically belongs to its citizens anyway, right?

A billionaire won't give a shit about that 500 a month and any soul who wants a better life for themselves is not going to settle for that either. The mentally ill will find someone to help them for that 500 and the people who refuse to work will have enough to deter them from committing petty crime for food (I mean they are too lazy to work and stealing takes work). People who are here illegally will not get it, so every citizen will have an immediate advantage over illegals.

I must admit, you present a decent case for it. Best I've yet heard.

Certainly, injecting new money at the top was counterproductive. Well, if you assume that the goal was lifting the economic opportunity of those who have not yet benefited from that economy. Which, of course, was probably not the true goal of economic stimulus.

I'm not sure what exactly his malfunction is, but I'm pretty sure I explained to him numerous times over the course of several years that no govt on earth is going to allow you to build a bunch floating trailer parks right off their shore. If he ONLY built ONE, they might have overlooked it, but he came right out of the gates talking about "Hey you stupid govts, I'm going to flood the entire coastline with floating trailer parks and there's not a damn thing you can do about it!  For I am Elwar, that guy from bitcoin!"

It was not stupid for him before the "issue", so probably it isn't either now. He should probably be more careful on the placement choice and his rhetoric in order to avoid being considered a "menace" () again.

Something not being our dream doesn't mean it isn't someone else one. If it is his he will probably keep pursuing it.... some adjustments needed to be safer though.

He already got a great story to tell. Not every day you got a nation claiming you were threatening their sovereignty lol

First thing first, let's just hope he is completely safe now or very soon. Let's just not speculate and wait until we hear directly from him.

WHY am I the only non-retarded person in this thread? WHY???  He fucked himself because instead of only building one floating death trap and being known as that insane guy that lives on a crab trap, he came right out of the gates letting his intentions be known that was going to attempt to place them all over the place like some type of nanotech, AI, doomsday scenario of tiny robots building an infinite number of paperclips to flood the entire planet with them.

One of those floating crab traps doesn't pose much of a problem, but a payload of tens, dozens, hundreds, thousands of them is tragedy of the commons out the ass with him attempting to offload those problems onto someone else to deal with besides himself.  It was a shitty zoning arbitrage attempt with a predictable result.

I never thought it was dangerous or anything the seasteading, I don’t think its my life to live there, if it succeed and it was able to visit, Then I Will for sure....
Also I don’t think its a stupid idea, as we are all human and dream of different things.... Elwar’s dream is one difficult to achieve and need lot of thinking and work, such thing can only be supporter as its not harming anybody or causing problems to anybody.... There are not many among us with such idea’s and just say F*** it i’m just gonna do and try to realize that dream.
Of-course first be safe, the re-think everything and see what the best lotions are, but try to achieve your lifegoal Elwar so you can always look back and just say I did it  (as long you stay a COINER its all good for the WO)
