Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

If another explosion is to happen it absolutely sure as shit will not stop anywhere as low as that. There would still be a lot of headroom at that price.

All the same I'd rather sell what I wanted to sell in a timely manner for less on the way down rather than slamming the sell button on a dying exchange at the peak.
Other day my wife was saying if the price hits 20k again then she wants me to sell some and invest in property. I said if I were to sell at that price then I would sell some when the price was 19k+.

I am not gonna sell until the price hits 30k+. I hope the days are coming soon.

Must agree that any pump is a good pump, regardless of the reason.
RIP shorters, RIP Scamfinex.

#

I wonder how those people who didnt buy at $3200 because they wanted $2500 feel right now? Could have been up 80%-90% already....now they must pray Bitcoin falls to maybe $4000.......

Ask the retard trio (see above).

Off to the beach.
I'll try to post a dick pic later on the weekend. Grin

I know I will regret if the price never drops 😛

I have a price level to hit. If it reaches it I will sell half without blinking no matter what the market is looking like and it'll be permanently removed and put into sound alternatives like ostrich farms and leasing hotel rooms in dying post-industrial cities.

If I had any doubts it would clearly not be the correct price level. Annoyingly it got not too far off that during the last bubble, which I never expected, but not quite enough and I didn't trust any of the services to sell it by that point. Once that's out the way it's all pure gravy from then on.

Bitcoin remains bullish as long as it stays above $4,800. Given that Bitcoin just broke out of $5,500 resistance, the initial target is $6,200. A move above $6,200 will likely generate massive bullish momentum that can ignite a true disbelief rally and push Bitcoin to as high as $7,800.

If you’re leaning on the bearish side, we urge you to carefully consider your position.

Leave it to fascists to come up with hypocritical terminology all the time. Unless they are implying that they are tipping the balance in whichever direction they please.

That is better than I expected of him and his rhetoric.

Edit: Yikes. His Master thesis is a complete joke too. Just copy/pasting definitions and not a single proof. Most likely wouldn't even pass for a Bachelor here. In fact, this might even pass as plagiarism (*nvm since the regurgitation is cited). I'm too lazy to read the thing, but brushing over it it seems like there isn't a single original thought.

W Buffett bought AAPL at $1tril valuation
W Buffett bought AMZN at $1tril valuation

There must be method in his...never mind.
He will buy BTC at $50-60K (~1 tril) or maybe when BTC price exceeds BRK-A (currently at $327,765/share).

how bloody Orwellian this is, it's not even funny.

Did he actually pay a $1t valuation for his shares though?

But yeah, seems like he's gotten old.

The shitcoin to end all shitcoins.

A FacebookCoin pegged to the USD with full KYC/AML could eat 90% of the market share of credit card processors, non-USD fiat currencies, and shitcoins.
Bitcoin would be your only alternative.

Facebook has a bigger network effect than anyone in payments. If they're smart, they'd stay out of monetary policy & build a payment network around the most liquid asset their users want. With KYC/AML, they'd probably offer more USD liquidity & lower fees than anyone else.

Network effects dominate. In a KYC world, there's very little reason for anything but the dollar and a facebook payment app to exist. Why hold your local gov's shitcoin on an app, when you can hold the dollar & spend globally? Why hold any app that has a smaller network than FB?

Payments will centralize around one network & standard. Currently it's USD, meaning surveillance, inflation & war.
Bitcoin's value proposition is that its most centralized layer is distributed over many thousands of nodes, making it arguably immutable apolitical & uncensorable.

Your choice:

1- A global inflationary currency that uses seigniorage to finance a large bureaucracy & global empire with complete surveillance of everyone

2- Digital immutable apolitical hard money with no seigniorage.

A good take I think from saif, and reminds me of the ubiquitous Chinese payments app Wechat Pay
