Localbitcoins - they chose compliance over usefulness already some time ago. I guess it's all they could do. There are alternatives already, and more will follow.
Well.... What's the point then?

Right, there's no big point
got KYC everywhere
let's decentralize.

Caribbean is a bit hard to get to without transiting the USA or somewhere opsec bad.   Europe is much better.

I know there are direct flights from Europe to some locations... besides it's not an issue if you own a private jet.  Grin

Erf we said $100k not $10 million party

I'm sure those WO members with bigger stashes won't refuse to give others a lift  Grin

Mallorca, Napels, Ibiza, Sardinië, st tropez, Nice, Monaco, Sicily, Cagliari, Corsica, (rent of a Niki Beach), Kreta, Marbella, Malta....... to many beautyful places to chose from!

But Maybe let us first get half way of that 100K Then start discussing where and .....

Cheesy

Malta's a beautiful bitcoin-friendly country. But I'm thinking more of a party place - Amsterdam.

What's wrong with Bognor?

I would favour lodging with the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer on Papa Stronsay off Orkney mainland - https://www.papastronsay.com

It should be a time for pious reflection, not dribbling cocaine from one's urethra.

These boys have wonderful concrete cells to stay in, you wake up at 3am for four hours of silent guilt mixed with chanting in Latin and you have to share your underpants with others.

I am also starting to feel a bit scared, when btc hits $100k, I'll probably be the poorest fuck in the party especially after seeing the poll results (%38 are hodling more than %80 of their total networth in btc)

Some of you guys probably won't mind spending $100k in a day in the party.

No sir, that's too much. I am pretty fine with smoking weed and banging the red light chicks in Amsterdam.  Grin

Nope and nope. Setting aside your first false statement, above, let us look at your second. Indeed, the proof to exonerate me of your accusation is quoted by you above. Absolutely nothing about BCH nor SV.

Get this through your thick skull: block congestion is a property of the BTC Bitcoin fork.

Exactamente!!!!!!

Block congestion is a property of usage which generally speaking the bcash variants lack.     Shocked Shocked Cheesy

Metapost: I'm doing... things... and stuff... with some Bitcoin related matters, and these fees I'm seeing are pretty nutty.

Paying more than a 200sat/byte gives me gas to get into the next block. Fuck that. A glimpse of things to come ?

I'm guessing this is why Lightning and L2 stuff is becoming more important  Huh

<<whistles inconspicuously>>
Could you ever post anything that's not about Bcash or trying to advocate for it?

Who, Me? I didn't say anything about Bcash. BTC's issues with tx fees are strictly a problem of BTC's own construction.

Don't be a fuck face you know damn well what you're doing. Look at your post history in here, you tell me the what percentage of your post in the BITCOIN (NOT SHITCOIN) Wall observation thread is about shitcoins?

Very little.

You sound tense.
Really now, you do realize BSV and Bcash are both indeed shitcoins, you're saying that's not a majority of your post are about?

Nope and nope. Setting aside your first false statement, above, let us look at your second. Indeed, the proof to exonerate me of your accusation is quoted by you above. Absolutely nothing about BCH nor SV.

Get it through yours, BSV and Bcash are fucking shitcoins. They are NOT BITCOIN, it's a fucking name they're trying to steal.

Bitcoin gold, Bitcoin diamond, super Bitcoin, Bitcoin atom, bitcoin God, Bitcoin interest, Bitcoin cash and bsv are all SHITCOINS.  There will only be 21 million bitcoins and your "but Satoshi" reasoning is shit. Bitcoin isn't about one person, if Satoshi wanted changes he would be adding them himself and the community would accept them or not.

You are here to spread your views and that's it, you're nothing more than a fucking Jehovah witness in this thread handing out pamplets of bsv, you talk about nothing more than your stupid shitcoins, id like to speak for everyone but that's not my place, but at least I don't give a fuck about Bcash or it's shitty brother BSV. Fucking get over it, quit constantly trying to defend it here, this isn't the fucking fork debate observation.

Renting (not owning) a private jet is not that expensive... if you're willing to share it (with other W.Os ?), or if you use the "empty leg" system. It also depends on the duration of the flight of course.
But... there are better ways to spend money for sure.

I just like the concept because it's pretty convenient if you wanna travel with pets.

if Satoshi wanted changes he would be adding them himself and the community would accept them or not.

If satoshi had wanted changes in bitcoin, he would have stuck around past 2010.

Whether such exit was voluntary or forced may not matter too much, but after satoshi left, bitcoin was forced to develop without cult of personality of one individual or group and became the coin that it is today... not exactly stagnant, but had gone through a few battles, including attacks in 2017.. but also success in 2017 to accomplish segwit adoption and implementation that is still being built today from a community of smart peeps.

Otherwise, I agree with you, that if satoshi were to come back into the bitcoin picture (which seems quite unlikely since he left over 8 years ago), then the most logical way to contribute to bitcoin would be to make a proposal through the BIP process, which seems quite alive in bitcoinlandia...

Fear not, little man. I'm sure we can find something for you to do, perhaps shelling peanuts or dancing like a monkey at a snap of our fingers.

And that 80%+ figure is kind of meaningless. That might be $1000 and 0.5 BTC.

That's actually pretty quick.  I don't want to mention any names but in the chart below (which I posted ~ 3 months ago) you may see others who haven't seen the minor difference.

Avatar upgrade in progress - WO avatars are being converted to transparent background png format to give a neater appearance.   Since the hats number in the low 100s and I have no formal (or informal for that matter) tracking system, I will convert them as I see them in posts.  If you would like to change your avatar to the cleaner format, please take it from the table below (right click and save image).  If I haven't upgraded your avatar and you have posted recently, it's not because I don't love you; PM me and I'll fix it.

This upgrade is in response to constant badgering a suggestion from Kylapoiss which forced me to learn a new skill.  Seriously though, it does look much nicer - so clean.  Great suggestion!
