Things where diversification does not lead to benefit: - Shitcoins "investments"
- Drugs
- Women
First item OK... but the other two? Are we going crazy or what? Holding a PORTFOLIO with more than one woman is recipe for disaster. You can bet one at a time, no problem, long term or day trading very high turnover: no problem. You can leverage and go long two or more different women for very short periods of time. risky, but no problem. But investment...man we are talking about long term. Two girls is going to collapse. Transaction costs and BS management is going to kill you. Same with drugs.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Lambie I'd love to come to Vegas, but I must insist that we have a serious moment. Perhaps the address at the dinner could be given by that foremost bitcoin expert Ms Izabella Kaminska. I believe you know her well enough to invite her?
I hope you come to the Vegas party. Sorry, Lambo Slayer, this was just a joke really. I can't get in to the US because of a youthful indiscretion. Location aside, sadly I largely agree with Bob, not because I claim to be of the same ... girth as him, but still because of opsec reasons. Despite appearances I am very wary and hard to convince, and there are tons of things I just don't do irl. So we'll see. Just shut up and get on the plane you old curmudgeon.

I know you all could care less but if the party takes place in the U.S. I could not attend. I was a green card holder but used my regular (foreign) passport when entering the U.S. in 2003. They were about to throw me in jail for a couple of years because of this but was deported instead with life long forbidden re-entry. kind of sucks because half my family lives in the U.S. I understand tough that Vegas makes sense. It seems like we'll end up with a party on each side of the pond, with options to go to either or both.

#Bitcoin aiming for 100trillionUSD (after 2028)?! All physical commodities are nicely lined up on the stock-to-flow / market value grid. I added diamonds (S2F19, market value $1.5trn). Bitcoin seems to grow towards the 1 free spot on the S2F periodic table https://twitter.com/100trillionUSD/status/1136569340692770816PlanB every day surpassing, BTC>Rocket. edit: Great work as always! If we pessimistically project (straight line) the MC of BTC to 50T some day and remove the aprox 4M BTC lost, it will get us to a BTC price of aprox. $3.000.000/BTC. Transaction costs and BS management is going to kill you. Same with drugs. I see your point with women. My point is, if you're really long and have a really diversified portfolio, you're good to go. Transaction costs do go up a bit, but being long implies fringe costs aren't an issue. Besides, management overhead goes down as long as each of the assets (liabilities?) agrees or at least knows she's not the one (implying replaceability) and she's the one afraid of the holder going short. As for drugs, what would life be without a good assortment (in reasonable moderation)? Doing the same stuff over and over can be habit forming. Change is your friend. Or at least it's mine Well, if one doesn't do "nasty" stuff anyway. As a little OT digression, the corn looks tired today. Low 7k's might be on the short term horizon. Stack them sats man!! https://twitter.com/Wuuzzaa1/status/1136582427403534337I am a great admirer of Plan B, but this graph has a great problem: Diamonds are way more common than tough on the Earth, and the only reason why they retain an high value is strict supply side management by the only one producer of such. De Beers not only manage roughly 90% of Diamond production, carefully managing how much diamonds get on the market (so they are actually able to tilt the SF on the upside), but also are controlling the nascent business of artificial diamonds. They are using their massive financial power to buy and put out of business every artificial diamond producer, threatening the production of diamond at a lower price than anyone else can sustain (seems counter intuitive, but dumping the nascent market is actually very effective way to put a lot of competitors out of business).

DARPA-Funded Study Looks at How Crypto Chats Spread on RedditA U.S. Department of Energy science lab has been studying studying how well three popular cryptos performed in Reddit chats.
According to a press release provided exclusively to CoinDesk, data analysts at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) measured the speed and scale of discussions related to three cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, ethereum, and monero, on Reddit. For the study, they crunched data covering a three-year span from January 2015 to January 2018.
Of the three cryptos, they found bitcoin was the most discussed, with 3,600 comments posted each day. That’s far ahead of ethereum and monero, which had an average of 500 and 380 comments per day, respectively. https://www.coindesk.com/darpa-funded-study-looks-at-how-crypto-chats-spread-on-redditNow investigating the number of posts about Bitcoin. Bitcoin will be an obligatory study economics subject at the university.

The Wall Street Journal Business Section - Some Bet Bitcoin Price Could Reach $50,000 This reminds me of an early 2017 prediction. "If Bitcoin ETF is approved, Bitcoin can rise up to $5000 untill the end of 2017". The price was 800-ish back then, so this was 6x prediction. It looked pretty bold then. Of course, the ETF wasn't approved and yet the price went to $20 000, i.e. 25x. So now we can expect between 25x3000=75 000 and 25x9000=225000? This is ridiculous for just a year, I know. But If we think about it, 2017 was the year with so many bad news for Bitcoin - China's ban, forks, beecashers dumpsters and last but not least - the futures. Yes, the futures was a bad news for the hodlers, since we knew that the price will be maipulated heavily by selling at certain hours. I still wonder how Bitcoin managed to overcome all this. Well, if not this year, we can expect some incredible bull run after the halving. I can't wait to see the fireworks!

The way the 'news' works these days. Online/Paper/Magazine etc. Is if they have an article like that this week. They can get all the 'positive' individuals/types on crypto to read and/or eyeball their site Ads for more $$$. Eyeballs for Article for the 'Crypto Fan Base'. (all them Ad $$$) I will bet that within the next month there will be a NEW article in the same area of that paper, that will claim that Facebook Coin will kill Bitcoin and/or Altcoins dead. To get the eyeballs of the skeptics of cryptocurrency in Online/Paper/Magazines. Thus the 'negative' types will eyeball such see their Ads for the rest of the $$$. Eyeballs for Articles for the 'Fools Theory' on Crypto Fan Base that Crypto is all 'Tulips' and a scam. It is the 'perfect' way to get readership. Boom or Doom. Rinse/Wash/Repeat. You get 'everybody' with an opinion from the wildly optimistic on crypto/BTC/Alts to the 'widely' pessimistic on crypto/BTC/Alts. With all the various shades in the spectrum from one end to the other. Again, Rinse/Wash/Repeat. Expect it.

My name is Giovanni Gyrsur, but everybody calls me Gyrsur.
from where you did get this? my first name is Walter and my second name is Giovanni because my mother is Italian. Damn! OpSec fail! The helmet you are wearing is very closely looking to the one Thomas Bangalter, from Daft Punk, wears during his appearances. so I tought about one of their songs: "Giorgio By Moroder" "Giorgio By Moroder"
When I was fifteen, sixteen, when I really started to play guitar, I definitely wanted to become a musician.
It was almost impossible because it was— The dream was so big that I didn't see any chance because I was living in a little town, was studying.
And when I finally broke away from school and became musician, I thought, "Well, now, I may have a little bit of a chance." Because all I really wanted to do is music and not only play music but compose music.
At that time, in Germany, in '69, '70, they had already discotheques. So, I would take my car, would go to a discotheque, sing maybe thirty minutes. I think I had about 7-8 songs.
I would partially sleep in the car because I didn't want to drive home and that helped me for about—almost two years to survive, in the beginning,
I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the '50s, the sounds of the '60s, of the '70s, and then have a sound of the future. And I said, "Wait a second. I know the synthesizer. Why don't I use the synthesizer which is the sound of the future?"
And I didn't have any idea what to do but I knew I needed a click. So, we put a click on the 24-track which then was synced to the Moog modular. I knew that it could be a sound of the future but I didn't realize how much the impact would be.
My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me Giorgio.
Once you free your mind about a concept of harmony and of music being correct, you can do whatever you want. So, nobody told me what to do and there was no preconception of what to do.

<-- quasi-fictional avatar The Schroedinger event may or may not be the $100K party. Only one way to find out. I've acquired an actual, IRL jbreher photo. It's a violation of his personal privacy and secops, but who cares? Oxford shirt, Cable knit sweater, Dour expression - seems about right.
