Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Well I admit.

When Bitcoin tanked down to 5000, 4000 and 3000 I sold about 20% of my Coins :-/

This was obviously a mistake ;-)

At least I still have ~80% Cheesy

First time I heard about bitcoins was in 2011 or 12 (can't remember the exact year). I client of mine was talking about it. In the same year (I guess) one of my very close friend (that time) who was a Forex or something trading was saying once out of frustration that instead of this trading job he should have buy some bitcoins.

I told him what is that and he said it's a digital currency and some blab blab things. I had no idea about what he was saying and from his move it was clear that he also had less idea about it.

Now imagine in that time if I would give it some times and learn about it. May be me and my friend would be one of the bitcoins celebrities.

He advised me to buy just 1BTC & only check the price in 10 years (this was in 2013).

I ignored his advice until 2014 then I bought & kept buying & buying & buying - AND HERE WE ARE Smiley

There might be a bear trap after $11k, to $8k. Don't panic, buy more. If it doesn't happen, keep hodling anyway.  Cool

I’m not to be honest, sadly. I reckon he probably has a couple of thousand bitcoin’s. I tried to find him on social media but he’s removed it all.

Well it is a good story. First she was confused about what to expect with the milk expanding. She had a linear expectation while living in a non linear world. ( big mistake).

No one knows how high Bitcoin will go or not go. Personally I would be uncomfortable with ALL my wealth in Bitcoin. ( that is just me) My strategy is selling some during extraordinary Bull runs and putting the proceeds into other assets. ( that is just me). All of my bitcoin is at no cost. It is all house money. Which means I will not be like the Gypsy.

That being said, I am also uncomfortable not owning enough relative to my net worth. ( I guess it is personal to everyone's situation )

That is my two cents.

Import your priv keys into electrum and always move your coins to a different private key before you claim anything.

I believe bcash has its own electrum version. You can try it.

No idea about BSV and bGold. Did bgold long time ago.

You do realise that you ABSOLUTELY MUST move your bitcoin’s to another wallet address before you claim the forks, right?

I’m sure you do but please do not try & claim BCH when your bitcoin’s are still in said address.

Regarding claiming -

BCH - Electrum Cash
BTG - I think I used Coinimi

Edit - Just import your private keys into the above wallets, simple.

BSV, I didn’t have any as I spent all my BCH.
There are a load of other shit forks you can claim on Coinimi too.

just came across an old receipt.. sold 3 btc for 25 bucks back in 2012.

dont even remember what i used the 25 bucks for. i hope it was nice.

That's about the time I got my titanium yoyo for 4 btc. I still have it. It's a daily reminder to HODL.

im considering framing the receipt and hanging it somewhere for the same reason.. to remind me this is why we hodl.
