Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

So apparently no BTC ETF for the moment:

VanEck, SolidX Withdraw Bitcoin ETF Proposal From SEC Review

Quote
Tuesday’s filing marks the second time VanEck and SolidX withdrew the proposed ETF. The companies withdrew the same ETF proposal in January, after a prolonged government shutdown threatened to force a rejection.

The SEC is still reviewing two other bitcoin ETF proposals. One, filed by Wilshire Phoenix, would include both bitcoin and U.S. Treasury bonds in the Trust, and faces an initial deadline at the end of September, while the other, filed by Bitwise Asset Management with NYSE Arca, will be approved or rejected on Oct. 13.

Observing 10,227 honey badger doesn’t care.

They probably withdrew the application because they say another reject coming.
I expect other pursuant doing the same on the next weeks.

Imho institutional money is badly needed to get bitcoin where it is meant to, think about PlanB SF model. In case of disappointment of this model to realise the loss of positive momentum could be very heavy, resulting in a very long cryptowinter II.

Good fucking question. I'm pretty much limited to a handful of non-shit asian countries, eastern europe and south america. Hence my little tour of the world. Seeking a place worth living in.

Eastern Europe that's too poor to be in the EU? Ukraine... Belarus... I'm afraid those places are not too different from Russia.

Anywhere not in the EU, US, Canada, anything muslim, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and China.

Not really sure what your beef is with EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. But nevermind. By far the greatest country to live in not in that list is Norway. Especially if you (plan to) have kids.

Likely a lot of luck in there.

None of us should get sucked into the trap of deifying posters into sorcerers.

Remember how revered Vinnie Lingham was in 2015/16 and how he squandered such reputation in early 2017? - but probably only after a decent number of folks got R3ckt  by selling because they actually relied on his bullshit early 2017 propositions that bitcoin was going below $500.

Yes, there is nearly always someone who gets all 7 lottery numbers correct.

BTW, this particular forecaster was 100% wrong on the dominance figure. It has trended strongly in the opposite direction from his forecast.

From the Roger Thread:

Anyway theymos you better start censoring all this unseemly guff.

I know you're joking, and sometimes I like to merit a good joke, but I think its going to go right over Rog's fortified dome.

Yeah prolly he and his numpty-minions will now take it as proof-of-censor. I like to help out where I can. Thanks for the merit-bribe btw.

Meh, the price used to dump fairly significantly after news like this. These days it doesn’t even blink. Would he really good to finally get one approved though. I wonder if we’ll see one in the next 3-4 years?

The trick here is to not get culled.

any tips?

(asking for a friend)   Grin

Stay away from large population centers.

Reduce dependency on centralized supply networks for water/food/power.

Do not appear to have much of anything worth taking, either by mutant biker zombies or overzealous redistributors.

Be well armed.

Develop interdependent community with other resilient households.

Avoid obvious infection vectors; the flu shot, fast food, municipal water etc.

Stock vital spares.

HODL.

heck much of that describes most of us in this part of the state anyway. i guess living more or less in the sticks does have some advantages.

BREAKING: The Fed just printed another $75 billion to correct the lending market.

That's now 16% of the entire $800 billion bailout in 2008.

Except this was used in a single day, and in a "non-crisis" situation.

https://twitter.com/Rhythmtrader/status/1174300982769016833

Another 75 with 54 is not enough, the printers do not stop.

54 + 75 = 129

Sorry. those things don't add up as they are Overnight Repos: so the FED prints money in the evening, and destroys it the morning after.
So now they printed only 75 until tomorrow morning.

Explainer: The Fed has a repo problem. What's that?
Quote
In a repo trade, Wall Street firms and banks offer U.S. Treasuries and other high-quality securities as collateral to raise cash, often overnight, to finance their trading and lending activities. The next day, borrowers repay their loans plus what is typically a nominal rate of interest and get their bonds back. In other words, they repurchase, or repo, the bonds.

Banks are ruined, they have billions in their accounting notes, but, fictional.

The US Quietly Printed $75 Billion out of Thin Air (For the Banks). This Is Why Bitcoin Matters

Quote
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York very quietly handed out $75 billion in cash to the banks on Wednesday in a process known as a ‘repurchase operation,’ or repo.

Quote
This emergency measure hasn’t been used at scale for a decade, since the last financial crisis.
