I can’t tell you end of year.  My crystal ball stops at mid December.  And it says it’s going to be quite a bad time until then - low $6k / even high $5k possible.  After that it’s all grey mist.

I have turned on the fog lights and I find it hard to believe that we will see low levels by the end of the year.

Actually Roach is right there.
Besides it's always the one who claims something who has to prove it, and right now the telecom industry is claiming that 5G is safe.

Besides the shit they make us buy and call it "food", which makes us sick in the first place, i don't really worry about 5G, 6G anyG.
Just keep it at a reasonable amount.

Things are what they use to be and we have to deal with it….5G is not a problem, it is just fear of the ununderstandable !!!!

Whatt?!

meh I still remember shit like avagado's number (6.022^23 iIRC) now that i think about it.
I gotta be honest with you. I do not remember any of them. Only can imagine the shape of carbon or something. Octagon or something?
Don't laugh if this does not make any sense LOL

Maybe if we all agree that Bitcoin could dump again and stop taking for granted that the halving will SURELY send BTC to new heights... then the chance for that happening would be higher. I remain scared by the amount of people expecting moon (ie: $50K-$100K) as an inevitable consequence to the halving. It could lead to a big dump even right after the halving if things don't go according to the "plan".

That being said. I will personally keep hodling. But I hate to see so much "optimism" in advance. It could end badly.

What we need is more fear... and maybe even another pre halving capitulation. Or maybe not. Who knows.

That is part of the problem.  The diptwat has found a new niche in which he was able to get away with (so far) not escrowing an earlier bet, so he has realized that he can bet whatever the fuck he wants.  There is no downside to his making whatever bet because he does not have to pay up front, and of course, he has little to no credibility in terms of reputation, so nothing to lose there, and he will neverr have to pay.. because he is a twat... but he might be able to collect.   Wink

A comparison of Halving with previous cycles ...

Quote
Here's a version with prices for pre & post 3rd halving for context.  Keep in mind that each cycle peak will likely be lower than the prior one.

Source: https://twitter.com/ChartsBtc/status/1199458935591198721

Quote
Each cycle is 210,000 blocks (~4 years). This chart starts half way through the cycle and goes half way into the next cycle. This is my attempt to show the lows prior to halving and the peaks post halving but keep everything centered around the halving.

As they explain they say that each peak of the cycle will be lower than the previous one.

Similar as me, when i wish BTC would go up, it actually goes down Wink
So i patiently wait for $5.xxx areas until mid Q1/2020.
Be prepared for the price to explode just days before i decide to buy  Grin
Honestly, why do we care about staying in regions of affordable prices for longer periods of time?
It's about the best we could hope for. Remember: BTC is not following a get-rich-quick agenda, but a don't-get-poor-slowly (neither fast, of course) scheme.

Well, wasps can bite and bees can sting, can't they? Enough reason to not welcome them to my garden I think. To be honest I have never been sting by a bee but.... I hate when one disturbs my peace of mind while I am sunbathing because I think/fear it could sting me. I don't even like flies nor mosquitoes even if those won't bite me.

Wasps are dangerous and need to die by fire, but bees don't want to sting you as it is their last defense and then they die from using the stinger. Don't bother them and you can walk right through them. I had one queen Bee sting me when i was young but I sat on it! Damn that hurt. Cheesy

If where you live supports bats then put up some bat houses and that will take care of the mosquito's. And making sure there is no standing water on your property keeps the mosquitoes and flys away as well.

Wasps more dangerous than bees? Why? I mean, I don't really know. To me both are just annoying when it comes to me trying to relax. No big deal though... But if I can have then away of my close proximity I am happier.

Avoiding standing water on my property is not possible as I have a big pool just side to the house... It doesn't seem to particularly attract mosquitoes (probably because I have it chlorinated and perfectly clean all year round). Also mosquitoes don't bite me (or if they do, which probably do, I don't get an itch nor notice anything).

I will consider the bats houses thing (will google about it) as I don't mind bats... But I don't think my GF will approve that. It already took me a lot of effort reasoning about the convenience of putting some geckos (which she strongly and irrationally fears/hates) "housing" on the outside. Maybe my dislike of wasps/bees is also irrational. Go figure. It's my garden though. Smiley

Wasp, bees, bio warfare.

Wasps are more aggressive (many wasps are predators, while bees are vegetarian). Wasp stings are generally more painful than bee stings.

However, bee stings are more likely to cause serious anaphylaxis and death in allergic individuals.

Geckos are moderately useful for keeping mosquitoes in check. Bats are better, but they prefer to feast on small flies (fruit flies etc), usually more numerous than mosquitoes. They are also a good indicator of clean air, since they can't survive in heavily polluted areas.

The best bio-weapon for mosquitoes are ladybirds (ladybugs) from what I've heard and read. They are relentless predators of anything that moves. They are already effective at the larval stage. Preferred food: aphids, but they do eat mosquitoes too.

The ideal solution would be some aquatic predator that could clear mosquitoes while they're aquatic larvae, but I don't know about any widely adopted specific solution. Frogs anyone?

I agree with what you say, but my impression is that if we continue like this, I hope to finish around +/- $10,000, it is possible that this thought is due to my BTCullish feeling.

- The hash rate has increased this year to 90 exahashes, from approximately 40 at the beginning of the year.

- Those who bought at ATH and sold are gone.

- The new ones the vast majority become holders.

- Frankly I think we've never been better.

The biggest uncertainty is the institutional issue, big capitals that want to buy cheap, these, except for a major disaster, are the ones that can shake the tree.

Wrong conclusion. Yes, higher frequencies are more easily absorved by the medium but that just means that:

It has less "penetration" (900MHZ/1GHZ is the better frequency for "penetration") because it is absorved and converted into HEAT. Can you calculate how much heat would a 5G tower txer would cause on your retarted head even at 10m distance? I can't be arsed to calculate it, but it is almost negligible.

Now put yourself under the sun in the open. *THAT* is some measurable radiation MANY orders of magnitude above your silly 5G towers. Or near an old (and leak prone) microwave oven. And we can cope with it. For all practical purposes.

I am a HAM and what you are saying is true.  The real issue with radiation damage from higher frequencies is proximity as well as power.  In fact there are several other issues like antenna type as well as RF band.

To be honest I think we are at much greater risk from our cellphones than we are a tower simply because we do not tend to be close enough to the tower to collect up any meaningful amount of non ionizing radiation, but our phones???  Different story.  Those we are very close to.  Sitting in our pockets they are constantly transmitting into our leg, not to mention when we talk on them.

I do not doubt that there *could* be medical issues from living too close to strong RF, but most of what the troll is talking about is paranoia.

Cannot be looking towards either you or Phil_S for bullish inspiration, unless you change your mind(s) before then, at least not until the beginning of the year, perhaps?  I hope that both of you guys are wrong by a lot of numbers... In other words, orange number go up!!!!   Tongue Tongue

Hahaha, its just a small phase JJG.. don't forget we are on same boat Tongue And why both of us are wrong? please tell Phil_S is wrong, then i might share my winning with you. Grin

I am going to root for something in that arena - give or take $600... 30 days away, approximately.

I think, at current scenario Hairy might want to reconsider his calculation or may be he can give new numbers? he helped me with his vodoo thingy here and there. So will settle with his new numbers.

How about you pitch in and give us some number ? No TA or any diplomatic response (in which you excel Grin), only number, what do you say bhai ?

Quote
but here we are.. lower $7ks... and ongoingly saddened. and even some of us hoping that the bottom is already "in," rather than revisiting such mid-$6ks or even lower in the coming weeks... Tell me it's not true. Cry Cry Cry
I would love to back you up but no one is 100% sure in the cryptoland as far as short term is concern (which looks ugly atm). Long term case is different ball game though.

In the end speculation is all about cheer leading IMO. majority back their claims with TA and in my case SOMA  Grin so it means no harm whatsoever.

Fair enough response.

Frequently there is a difference between describing what we perceive to be taking place (or having had taken place), and figuring out the extent to which that description of the "is" can be used to predict what is likely to happen.

At this particular moment, I don't have any real inclination to add any predictive attempts to what I have already proclaimed.. and largely boils down to hopium for up rather than down... I think that we have had enough down, for now.

Currently, buy orders are set to start at $6,800 and they go down to around lower $4ks; however, if we get anywhere close to $5,500, I may have to jigger my orders a bit and maybe even reconsider my budget for possible lower lows... if that is even possible... so in other words, another selfish reason to prefer that we don't even go down is so that I don't have to make those jiggering efforts.

Up on the other hand, seems to be unlimited.  Up sell orders start at $7900-ish... and they never really seem to run out of BTC... so perhaps I am selling too little.. but whatever, it is my current plan.. to just keep BTC in reserve, but we all have seen already a large number of times that if the price shoots up too quickly then it is going to be difficult to sustain such UP.. even though we still have a lot of downseekers, that are in the class of jonoiv, who are still waiting to go back below $6k so they can buy back... I would prefer that BTC would punish those folks, too... but honey badger does not likely care what is my preferences.

I can’t tell you end of year.  My crystal ball stops at mid December.  And it says it’s going to be quite a bad time until then - low $6k / even high $5k possible.  After that it’s all grey mist.

Now you tell us.    Angry Angry Angry
