He's a complete moron.  All currencies - of which Bitcoin is one - are Keynesian in nature.  Currencies are garbage, confidence game scams based on artificial scarcity.  They start at a value of zero, are rigged above zero in some manner either by governments or some other market manipulation but are still just as worthless as their first day of creation, then always eventually return back to zero once the confidence game implodes.  This is why actual money, as opposed to currency, is required to be a physical commodity resource, because those aren't confidence game scams.

You are the moron.  Bitcoin is not only the first truly finite currency, it is actually the only truly finite commodity a human can own other than time.  It also has a 100% known schedule as to it's finite property.  ~85% of it has been minted, and there is only be ~15% to go.  Gold on the other hand has a constant flow, and new previous unknown sources are being discovered.  In a single asteroid there could be enough gold to CRUSH the economy of the world and render gold itself worthless.  There is one SINGLE asteroid that holds quintrillions of USD value by today's gold prices.  And we don't even need to go to outer space to discover more gold.  Mining technology will eventually allow us to collect much more gold than we can today from the Earth.

Bitcoin is finite.  And the only way to "create more" of it is to divide it further.  Adding digits to the RIGHT of the decimal point is fundamentally diametric to how we have seen the expansion of the monetary supply in the past by adding digits to the left.  Bitcoin forces us to the other side.  This will change the world in ways that are hard to imagine.  This too is an entirely novel concept, and very much not Keynesian.

And before you start talking about hard forks... no.  There is no evidence that these can be successful apart from bitcoin.  In fact I would say BCH and BSV are only temporarily borrowing value from BTC.  Even in some satanic universe where one of them won, that asset would be the survivor.   It is most likely that one POW asset will survive.  And it is most likely it is Bitcoin.

Just because Bitcoin is a virtual collectable does not mean it's value is nothing.  Just like gold it's monetary value is well beyond it's base value.  It's just in the case of Bitcoin that it's monetary value is it's ENTIRE value.  This too is novel, and quite interesting.  The idea that the physical aspect of gold is what really matters is incorrect.  It is gold's monetary value that is where it's real value lies.

Bitcoin takes that truth to the purest end.

The fact that you cannot, or will not see this is too bad.  But it also makes me happy.

I'm sorry for touching the poop Sad I have cross-contaminated threads with fecal coliform.

Tell rick to relax that fist...then you can perhaps contain yourself in future you washed up mess.

Next time don't come to someone elses threads who merely presents observable instances of the boards history and start screaming your homo erotic fantasies and swearing at them. Then start crying when you get some blowback you fucking wussy gimp.
Got it.

Tell your your butt buddies here to give each other reach arounds in private.

All the people in here with no bitcoins worrying about where it is heading next is funny. Going up long term is all you need to know about it. 222222 posts from 100 ppl giving each other reach arounds and splattering humor that is toe curling everywhere. YUCK.

Try having some bitcoins, worrying about the potential value of your sig spamming dust is pathetic.

Bob’s been mining since about 2011 you spastic. He’s got more bitcoin’s than you’ve had rapings by your Uncle as a child (which is hundreds).

He doesn’t wear a sig & posts in here don’t count towards sig campaigns any way.

Dude. Totally my fault for touching the poop. Genuinely sorry for you needing to deal with this, ITT.

Can't you just ignore the turd and move on? I mean I don't think there isn't one sane guy in this forum who takes his bullshit seriously. His words have no value. None. Zip.

He is not even worth to be mentioned. Ignore, move on. Give him the r0ach medicine.

US SEC Approves BTC Futures Fund to Offer Shares to Institutional Investors

Quote
Bitcoin (BTC) futures-focused NYDIG Bitcoin Strategy Fund has procured approval from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), entitling it with the right to offer its shares to institutional investors.

According to an SEC filing that came into effect on Dec. 2, the New York Digital Investment Group LLC (NYDIG) is now authorized to offer its shares to institutional investors, including registered investment advisers, their clients, and other eligible investors. For those who intend to invest in the shares, the fund does not put forward a minimum investment requirement.

https://imgur.com/a/MXXnNFk - Hi guys. I have never written anything here. This is my first post. But I have been trading since 2017. I wanted to share my charts.
That is an ABC correction (zigzag), many have talked about it lately, you won't find much support on this forum though.

I cannot see clearly a specific date on your picture, but 5k (if it happens) is expected mid-2020 (more or less during the halving). I am not sure if the halving has been priced in already, but either it is priced in, or it won't be priced in before 2022-2023 period.

Welcome to the forum.

The thing about the halving being priced in is it isn't just about the market anticipating a value.  That can happen with an anticipated announcement and a stock price, but there is something different about bitcoin.

The difference is the shock that will hit the market.  At the halving there is suddenly and permanently less BTC in the block reward by half.  Yeah we all know that is why it is called the halving.  But the thing is there is a real palpable shock to the entire system at that time.  Until then BTC is being sold to cover costs by miners all the time.  But what are they going to do then?

THAT is question #1. "What are the miners going to do?"

Will they stop selling?  Will they stop mining?  Will they START mining?  Will they introduce new chips?

Question #2 is "Can bitcoin have another bull run or is it done?"

If it is done then we will see the miners sell faster than ever as they turn off their rigs.  We will see a mining death spiral (tm) as well as a decimation (at least) in the price.

But when you read that sentence do you not realize that this is VERY unlikely?

What is likely is they will not sell as much.  But here's the kicker.  OF COURSE they will not sell as much.  They will have EXACTLY HALF as much TO sell. So that means that even if there is a reduction in demand AND they sell ALL they mine, as long as the demand is more than HALF of what it was the day before... what is going to happen to the price?

It will begin to go up.

And if the price is beginning to rise, will the miners keep selling everything they mine?

Umm...  See what is happening here?

Sure all this can be anticipated... and we are all speculating (see above) about what the halving means.  And this is the THIRD rodeo, so there is more information than ever before.  But there are also more mining factories being built (Texas) and new chips being developed.  And there is part of this, that even anticipated cannot really have it's full effect until the change hits.

Just because you know what is coming when the boosters on the rocket start to fire does not mean the rocket has already reached it's destination.

Buckle up, IMHO.
