...
also

anybody that takes that $1200 is part of the problem

Do I have choice?
If/when  $1200 airdrops  into my bank account, without me doing fuck-all....  I'll be like "well okay...if you insist..."

There is no shame in taking an airdrop.. that's just bullshit to even suggest that there should be.

Yeah, they are printing way too fucking much money and giving out handouts to a lot of fucktwats who don't deserve it, and I am not talking about the petty one time $1,200 or even if they were to pay it out several times, it is a fucking drop in the bucket compared to the various bailouts that are going to be going to overleveraged, morally depraved and irresponsible businesses.. ...

bank account

well, there is your first problem
Trust me bro , I got far bigger problems to think about than
having a bank account . Actually it’s a credit union and they have
no issues with my dca bitcoin transactions,  so there is that.

You should have as many accounts as you like and also a lot of options.

Would be silly to live a life without some of those things and to take advantage of them.

There are a lot of poor people around the world who cannot even get some of the various financial services even if they wanted to get it... so options are not a bad things to have.... and sometimes options can also provide camouflage for other things... why draw attention to yourself because you don't have options... one of the better ways to stay out of trouble is NOT drawing attention to yourself..

Guys, I bought a nice domain name a few months back related to bitcoin; it's still sitting in the dust. I wanted your suggestions about what to do with it. I've got some free time these days and thought of building a little bitcoin-related thing on it; something small like that "BRRRRR" page. It can also be related to Bitcointalk.

The best suggestion, that I'll be considering for development and implementation, will get straight 20 Merits from me. Wink

Take as much money from the government as you can. Especially if you are going to use it toward giving them less control (such as buying bitcoin).

Unfortunately there's no such thing as taking money from the government.

If you take money "from the government" you're not taking it from the politicians and civil servants. You're taking it from the taxpayers.

Of course it may just be money that the central banks printed up, but that causes inflation that eventually puts a hole in the taxpayer's pocket.

The government parasites (politicians and civil servants) still get their money.

The bill was already passed, the money is already stolen. Your protest should have happened then, not after. If everyone refuses their $1200, they'll just put that money toward another Kennedy Center or something.

Take it and buy bitcoin. Pay for a libertarian's campaign. Buy a gun.

Money is power. Take that power away from the government.

I am not sure if I would characterizing taking the money as taking power from the government.

It is a BIG ASS fucking diversion to make peeps feel that they got something, when they have not really got anything.

That $1,200 is merely a payback for inflation that they had already caused or for inflation that is likely going to result...

One way or another it is costing each of us way the fuck more than any $1,200 or even 10x that amount that we might end up receiving.... Fuck any feeling of guilt about the whole matter, and yeah, I agree buy something that you like or invest it while it still has some value.... because likely after so much god damned printing, the value of today's $1,200 is not very likely to be holding much beyond $600 in the next 3-4 years, by the time of the 2024 halvening.

I am not really speaking to you directly, but sometimes people do not want to get credit cards or this or that because they are so god damned worried about getting tracked, but jeezus fuck, how are you going to do much if anything, these days, if you don't have a credit card... I mean, yeah, probably you can do stuff, but credit cards give you options that you might not otherwise have, and sure, you can choose to just use it once in a while when reserving a flight or a hotel or your trip to disney or whatever the fuck, but surely some guys are getting themselves into trouble when they try to maintain certain bank relationships but they do not even have some kind of cover for income or whatever, so when they are making their money from bitcoin, then banks do not want to cash them out, but if they have already a relationship with the bank, then it is a whole hell of a lot easier to have the option to cash your bitcoin out that way, rather than having your account shut down because you are purposefully looking suspicious because you don't have some of those kinds of relationships.  Sure our world is evolving, but if you were to try to live completely off bitcoin, I bet you are going to be drawing unwanted and unnecessary attention to yourself merely because you are choosing NOT to even attempt to fit in... and I am not saying you specifically, sirazimuth.. because I do not know what you specifically sirazimuth are doing besides that you said that you use a credit union.

Well, I'm going to shut up about it as I am clearly in the minority.

But I am pretty disappointed, people talk a hell of a line about libertarianism and self reliance until the free shit shows up.

Not everybody is a libertarian here even if some of its ideas are good and more reasonable than socialism.

Also... As an example, the socialist+comunist joint government we currently have in Spain has (almost) approved a "minimum vital rent" of 500€. Am I against it? Yes. Would I take the money if I could? Fuck yeah.

It's not that they are forcing you to renounce your ideas for getting the money... Plus, in the case of US, I would consider it a "compensation" for the depreciation of your FIAT savings (and maybe other assets) derived from the massive money printing. If everybody takes it, and you don't, it's not that they are "richer"... it's just you that are poorer than you were before the "airdrop".

I don't think that anyone is contradicting themselves... well anyhow, I do not preach those things, anyhow.

You don't have to be certain exact political parties to be interested in bitcoin or even have any specific philosophy in regards to the role of government.

Sure, it seems that there are various attributes of bitcoiners, including likely lack of faith in some of the irresponsible policies of governments in regards to money printing, and so certain kinds of actions cause governments to paint themselves into a corner in the belief that they are going to print their way out of a problem like a virus that tends to highlight other problems, such as supply chain problems.. and sure a whole lot of other problems that had not adequately been protected, unless some of us might even believe (not saying that I believe it) that some of the catastrophe was caused on purpose, and even if it was not caused on purpose it was purposefully left to languish and thereby to purposefully cause the problem to get worse in order to be in a position to take advantage of such a mess.. but maybe even getting themselves in a BIGGER mess by failing and refusing to take adequate measures...

I don't believe that the logical conclusion is to get rid of the government, even though there surely are needs to make governments more responsible.. and perhaps bitcoin can help to provide those kinds of incentives of making some governments more responsible.. though it is likely going to take a long time, and probably we should not expect things to just magically change. .but in the meantime bitcoin is likely going to continue to appreciate in value, so good for any of us who have a stake in bitcoin and continue to attempt to buttress our bitcoin stake in order to hopefully benefit from some of the much dumb that exists with some of the incentives that seem to be designed around traditional financial and governing institutions.

Well from what I can tell, from states dealing with this mostly, IMHO, on their own, the Federal Government and FEMA and the rest
better step their logistics and coordination game big time ASAP. From the below map, we have not even hit the worst part of this
Coronavirus Pandemic yet. I hope I'm wrong but it is not looking like this is going to be over by the end of Summer like everyone has hoped.

you guys really don't get it

if y'all don't mention SV, he won't either

if you slander his coin he is obligated to step in and correct the record as he sees it

do you want more SV discussion in here?  because this is how you get more SV discussion in here

Does it make a difference if we are slandering BCH rather than SV?

Well if you don't file a tax return you can still get free money. (in USA)
Man, can you imagine all the homeless drug addicted folks and the like getting their hands on a free $1200?
I foresee a wave of new fentanyl ods on the horizon...

Awesome! Thanks. Now this is information I truly find useful. Just filed my return. I was looking for something like this but they were either:

a.) not free, or
b.) required that I send the return in via snail mail.

There's always a wave of new fentanyl ODs on the horizon!
