Bitcoin/Crypto...every day is like waking up the next day after gambling in Las Vegas..with about the same odds in my favor. Yech. Sad

Drama! The Excitement!

The 9 out of 10 missed boats and/or wrong choices!

The women/cars/money/booze/escorts/(er, wait...nevermind nothing like Las Vegas.)

I return you all to BTC/Crypto's continuing soap opera: Break my heart again, baby, I like the pain!  Sad

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Oh?  You are not in the same situation as me....? I thought that we would be the same... feels funny speaking like this.

But, seriously, are you in a job that has a lot of physical interaction with other people or are you able to work in mostly physical separation.

In my current local community, there are some businesses that are still open, and they mostly seem to involve at least some social distancing.  There have NOT been too many cases in my area, so far, except for one of my neighbors.. hahahahahaha.. but that was several weeks ago.

I am surely looking forward to being able to travel, so I don't have to experience other locations through others rather than personally being able to experience other locations.

So, yeah, there has been some damper on my expectations for this year.  Luckily, I did go on a trip in late February and early March.. .so at least I was able to do a little bit of that, but it was just a kind of preliminary trip rather than a longer term one.

Kind of screwed up, so maybe I am going to become more irritable if options do not open up in a few months.. but gosh, sometimes it might not be good to change locations either, especially during uncertain times like these, unless some assurance can be gotten that the change in location is neither going to be unsafe or even getting stuck in an even a worse situation and not even having as many supplies because in another location..

Anyhow, my current safety seems to be pretty decent, yet I expect that some people, in some locations, are going to start to get a little bit stir-crazy, too... so if a definite risk of planning to travel to an unknown area in times like this would be that it might be difficult to meet some kind of reliable guide person or to get to know some people who are reliable and not going to lead a peep into unnecessary peril.

Life returning to normal in Denmark. Kids about to go back to school, cashiers are becoming as rude and dismissive as they always have been. Can't wait to see if we catch up to Sweden within 3 weeks.

I'm not so sure if Denmark wants to follow Sweden herd immunity tactics, immunity takes years and may not even be possible but I guess someone had to try.

They shot themselves in the balls.

That chart only shows countrys below sweden, the fact of the matter is that Belgium, UK and France is way above Sweden.
There is a chart of that from the same source in this article. https://unherd.com/2020/04/jury-still-out-on-swedish-coronavirus-strategy/

"But hold on a sec. That chart is carefully designed to look bad for Sweden — the timeline is extended in a way that makes the curve appear more dramatic, and the countries it features are only those which have lower deaths per million. Here’s the same exact chart, from the same source, compared with a different set of fully ‘locked down’ European countries:"

"Suddenly the Swedish curve looks the best — and flattening out rapidly.
The truth is, the Swedish epidemic is far from the out of control disaster its critics would like to believe. Yesterday, there were 12 deaths from Covid-19; the previous day there were 17; the day before that there were 77 and the day before that there were 106. We could expect levels to catch up after this Easter weekend, but it can hardly be described as exponential growth."

The only way forward is immunity, either from vaccination or heard immunity, All those countries in lockdown right now have to let their citizens out on the street at some point, and when that happens people will start getting sick again. In the end the number of deaths per million will probably be pretty much the same in most countries.
Unless you keep your population in lockdown until a vaccin is ready of course, but by then that countrys economy will be dead.

Based on January - April fractal $BTC should start its trend to $9000 on Monday.

Observed the following similarities:

- Both 4% shakeout before it broke out
- Both created bullish engufing candles
- Both breakouts occured on Friday followed by a quiet weekend while it retested.

...carnitas...

This is also called pulled pork, isn’t it?

Close but no cigar.

That's like calling risotto Minute Rice.
Blasphemy!
Sorry for that!

Had to do my infamous pulled pork.

Actually 13 pounds of it.
I will eat pulled pork until end of quarantine.

EDIT: One full tally mark missing from the paper... it has been 49 days.

Here are the official Coronavirus guidelines:

1. Basically, you can't leave the house for any reason, but if you have to, then you can.

2. Masks are useless, but maybe you have to wear one, it can save you, it is useless, but maybe it is mandatory as well.

3. Stores are closed, except those that are open.

4. You should not go to hospitals unless you have to go there. Same applies to doctors, you should only go there in case of emergency, provided you are not too sick.

5. This virus is deadly but still not too scary, except that sometimes it actually leads to a global disaster.

6. Gloves won't help, but they can still help.

7. Everyone needs to stay HOME, but it's important to GO OUT.

8. There is no shortage of groceries in the supermarket, but there are many things missing when you go there in the evening, but not in the morning. Sometimes.

9. The virus has no effect on children except those it affects.

10. Animals are not affected, but there is still a cat that tested positive in Belgium in February when no one had been tested, plus a few tigers here and there…

11. You will have many symptoms when you are sick, but you can also get sick without symptoms, have symptoms without being sick, or be contagious without having symptoms. Oh, my..

12. In order not to get sick, you have to eat well and exercise, but eat whatever you have on hand and it's better not to go out, well, but no…

13. It's better to get some fresh air, but you get looked at very wrong when you get some fresh air, and most importantly, you don't go to parks or walk. But don’t sit down, except that you can do that now if you are old, but not for too long or if you are pregnant (but not too old).

14. You can't go to retirement homes, but you have to take care of the elderly and bring food and medication.

15. If you are sick, you can't go out, but you can go to the pharmacy.

16. You can get restaurant food delivered to the house, which may have been prepared by people who didn't wear masks or gloves. But you have to have your groceries decontaminated outside for 3 hours. Pizza too?

17. Every disturbing article or disturbing interview starts with "I don't want to trigger panic, but…"

18. You can't see your older mother or grandmother, but you can take a taxi and meet an older taxi driver.

19. You can walk around with a friend but not with your family if they don't live under the same roof.

20. You are safe if you maintain the appropriate social distance, but you can’t go out with friends or strangers at the safe social distance.

21. The virus remains active on different surfaces for two hours, no, four, no, six, no, we didn't say hours, maybe days? But it takes a damp environment. Oh no, not necessarily.

22. The virus stays in the air - well no, or yes, maybe, especially in a closed room, in one hour a sick person can infect ten, so if it falls, all our children were already infected at school before it was closed. But remember, if you stay at the recommended social distance, however in certain circumstances you should maintain a greater distance, which, studies show, the virus can travel further, maybe.

23. We count the number of deaths but we don't know how many people are infected as we have only tested so far those who were "almost dead" to find out if that's what they will die of…

24. We have no treatment, except that there may be one that apparently is not dangerous unless you take too much (which is the case with all medications).

25. We should stay locked up until the virus disappears, but it will only disappear if we achieve collective immunity, so when it circulates… but we must no longer be locked up for that?
