Beautiful! Just replace "stock" and "Berkshire Hathaway" with "Bitcoin" in the above clip, and he is SPOT ON! Surely, even if Buffet is not a believer in bitcoin, we should be giving him credit for attempting to consistently follow a long term strategy within any of his investments, so anything bought today needs to have a long timeline before contemplating selling it. Of course, with bitcoin we have been seeing buyers who have been able to get through 1 or 2 cycles, and to be able to cash out fairly BIGGLY - but at the same time, even those of us who have been in bitcoin for a long time, have gone through periods of seemingly extensive down that causes us to question our BTC convictions. Sure, go ahead and buy some BTC today. Maybe it will appreciate in price, and maybe it will take 4-6 years or maybe even as long as Warren Buffet suggests to be the considered timeline that goes up to close to 20 years? In real life, I do become quite hesitant to recommend people to buy into BTC when they seem to have a time horizon that is less than a few years, but if they have 4-6 years, then I don't have too many problems making BTC recommendations to them but at the same time, I am always shirking any responsibility for their investment, so I have noticed that people in real life sometimes gather, from my shirking of responsibility regarding the BTC investment, that I am not recommending BTC with enough passion.... hahahahahaha Sucks to be them. Sometimes I think of myself and my HoDLing status, and I come to the conclusion that something perversely weird has happened inside my mind: I just don't care about the BTC price anymore. Not really. I'm happy when it goes up, a little bored when it goes sideways, and buying (if I can) when it dips. Maybe it's because I've been HoDLing since 2015, and my subconscious lil' selfie really considers all the fiat I've used to obtain my coins as "money already lost" TM. I used to be worried and stressed over BTC price, nearly sold a good amount of coins in early 2017 (reason I didn't sell was because my Kraken sell order never went through due to them using ZX Spectrum 48Ks as their servers -- thanks Kraken, I owe you one). Since then, I've been so hardened that I don't even blink at a dip (no matter how deep). As for recommending Bitcoin to friends, family, colleagues, I try to give the facts and let them decide, clearly stating I'm not responsible for any investment they make. A few years ago I was laughed at, ridiculed and even called a criminal supporter. Now I get the odd phone call from friends wanting to know more. Most of them end up buying altcoins "because they are cheaper"... Still early days for Bitcoin IMHO. We're all early adopters!

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

declining...8699 8719.
Why always on Sunday night? Darned stock futures and Asia trading, perhaps.
The halvening pump is over (or near enough). Time to find a new base for the 2021 bull. Hairy our dear friend. Mean’t to spread some hopium. Not to cut my breath.
A nice base would be ? Seven full hours till halving. Could live with 8 k.....I'm still in favor of his $12k prediction. That said, any prediction is out of the window atm. After all, we have the rest of the year to find a solid base for the 2021 bull. Yeah sorry everything is cancelled Seriously, 9.4k was a gift Go back into hibernation

It hurts too much to look at this photo... It is truly a horror ! Everything is hurting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju_2NuK5O-ECome to think about it abit, as we have 8 Billion people right? We should unite and use BTC as Payment system, Create an International Business to clean the Planet of Plastic and harmful Chemicals. I am sure we can figure it out ? Is this a dream? Or a possibility? Not to be a tree hugger which i am lol... but someone has to find a solution for this right? Why not BTC and united effort to cleaning

The new rage was these arrays of dispensers for rice/oats/beans where you bring your own bag and pour out what you want. I guess that's out of the window now. Maybe idk anyway so many industries going up or down in the next few months
tree huggers must be going ballistic here. after fighting seemingly forever to ban single use plastic bags in favor of those reusable recycled ones (you know the reusable ones people put on their filth infested floors/counters and such at home, then bring back to plunk on a supermarket checkout) they have now banned those disgusting germ ridden bags and brought clean, sanitary single use plastc bags back. by law. they should of thought about how filthy most people are before all that reuseable bag shit was law but treehuggers and such arent really known for thinking things through. See? I knew lots of good things would also come out of this coronathingy. I really was enraged by that bags rule. I had always recycled regular bags as trash bags which, to me, is enough recycling. Good to see we are coming back to common sense. I just hope it lasts.

Should I FOMO in and buy bitcoins ? It felt around 8K$ was a coherent equilibrium between the real commercial and technical network and the anticipations and the future. We are sitting around 8800$/coin atm. On one hand, it feels it could get up to 10K$ and find a new higher equilibrium with all the money printing and risks of lost value in both USD and EUR. Bitcoin could to it correlated to the financial markets or with the financial markets going down. On the other hand, there could be an other rush to liquidity first. The financial markets have been going up and Bitcoin has been mostly correlated with the stock markets. A lot of investors are still optimistic about a V shape recovery after the confinement and we have dip buyers that put floors on the market. Also, the market knows the central banks will intervene more and support prices so it feels they have been disregarding decrease profit forecasts, unemployment and the huge difficulties in some sectors.

I truly believe that if we had sound money there would be very few disposable products in the economy.
You don't spend deflationary money on crap.
Throw away money->throw away economy->throw away culture.

That was funny... My last AMD CPU was an Athlon XP 2400. Since then, it's always been Intel for me. Currently on an i7 8700. Time to switch?

Ryzen has been absolutely cleaning Intel's clock for like 2 years now...no comparison really. Intel is just running on momentum, slow to adapt enterprise customers and those who don't do research before buying.

my early i7 still kicking ass after all these years.
Lots of other upgrades and re-upgrades latest was a 1040ti I think.
SSD etc. no real need to spend the silly money for newer components right now (or the money)

oh totally, I have yet to see a compelling reason to move off my hotrodded X58 setup; 48G of RAM, nvme boot drive, 1080ti, it does what I need
