I have posted about Pizza Day (without the girl), but this day is always mentioned as the first transaction or purchase of Bitcoin and it is not entirely correct, as always V8 has been fast and has warned me, I already modified the post, now it is better, I did not know it either, but I am glad to know that the first Bitcoin transaction was from Satoshi to Hal Finney.

The issue is the first transaction exchanging Bitcoin for a real world good or service. And while it is possible (indeed, I would say likely) that some unnoticed tx fulfilled that role first, the Pizza gets the nod. Hey - we gotta start somewhere.

Both of which obtained from a @Shopify exploit.

(suggesting there are many more underground leaks).

The hacker also claims he has the full SQL database of famous investing site @BankToTheFuture

not too worried about the addys trezors were shipped to honestly. they were gifts and ballast for boats.

OTOH the internet queries and the addys/amounts made to their servers used to see balances and such. not good. if they were my balances of course. anyone know if those queries were part of the breach?

i have always meant to set up my own way to query trezor balances on my unpruned node instead of using trezors backend stuff but never got around to it. it was a pretty convulated procedure iirc. but nows time if there ever was one.

You don't have to use https://wallet.trezor.io. Works fine with Electrum as well using a random remote node (bit of a similar issue though), or running your own Electrum server connecting to your own node.

Not using the trezor web wallet has the additional benefit of being able to generate bech32 addresses, something the trezor web wallet still does not support.

The altcoin experiment failed, and bitcoin can absorb any of their 'features' if necessary, or just bung things on Layer 2 to play with. They now exist purely to take people's bitcoin away by subterfuge. It's un-brr-able, a finite resource; once it's gone it's very hard to get any more back.

2. I find these repetitive, variation on a theme memes to be like pornography. I need new and different all the time, otherwise I can't raise a ... smile.
