- Carnage happening in Brazil due to Jair Bolsonaro misplaced policy, 2 health ministers already resigned.
What's this about specifically?

Sao paulo digging 13.000 graves to cover all those corpses, people die in their own blood because they don't have ventilators.

Massgraves appears all over they country.

80-90% who are on ventilators die.
Brazil more or less in civil war as some governors have sold out to China

COVID-19 is not a acute viral pneumonia impacting the respiratory system but rather an inflammation-based immunological response that leads to thrombosis (clotting in the lungs) which kills the patient. Inflammation and the ticking (clotting) of Blood prevents it from carrying oxygen and the patient eventually die of asphyxiation.

you must have been gone a long time.

As far as I know, we do not have cyber floors here.  Don't even know what they are.  You may have staggered into the wrong thread.

Thermopylae by Constantine P. Cavafy

Honour to those who in their lives
are committed and guard their Thermopylae.
Never stirring from duty;
just and upright in all their deeds,
but with pity and compassion too;
generous whenever they are rich, and when
they are poor, again a little generous,
again helping as much as they are able;
always speaking the truth,
but without rancor for those who lie.

And they merit greater honor
when they foresee (and many do foresee)
that Ephialtes will finally appear,
and in the end the Medes will go through.

+1 WO's merit

Very disturbing, but how is this any different from other police violence related deaths, throughout the years in your country?

This time the protesters are wearing masks.

I did watch the whole video of the incident... very disturbing. Almost like a snuff film. I wasn't prepared for it.

It's all about context. We are in the midst of a pandemic situation and on-going financial/generational crisis since 2007. This is the culmination phase of the 4th turning in the multi-decade generational cycle. Context is along a 4th turning theme going all the way back to 1960's, civil unrest for black emancipation began with boomer coming of age in the mid 1960's, Martin Luther King, then Rodney King and now recent 'black lives matters' incidents happening with increasing frequency and intensity 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 against cop killings. This could be the spark that brings this theme for change to a head, violently if necessary. Repeated callous, needless, authoritarian cop killing of 'presumed innocents' needs to be addressed at the institutional level that has failed for over 50 years to effect the needed change .... changes like these only happens on dark and stormy nights in a time of crisis. The generational time of crisis is here and now, fully blown. Given the volatile atmosphere, mandatory masked protesters, unemployment levels and cop over-reach from 3 months of lock downs, it's really bad timing with the practicalities on the ground also.

Historically pandemics often give rise to crisis and violent insurrection, usually targetting the extremes of wealth inequality, access to justice, access to resources, etc, that the golden times have fostered. Read The 4th Turning, stay informed, effects of Winter will not be denied, 10 more years to run.

When fiat currency dies, conditions tend toward deflation first (since money becomes more valuable when uncertainty looms), before becoming increasingly inflationary and, finally, hyperinflationary. #Bitcoin was purpose-built for this.

Bears are still in control, bulls are sweating  Kiss

There is a last attempt of a bullish run but clearly to kill some shorts that have been placed too low. 9.4k today or tomorrow is likely, maybe 9.8k but after that it will bloody for the bulls. By using the Elliott Waves theory once can easily see we reached our top for 2020, but perhaps October-November will be the best opportunity of a lifetime to buy Bitcoin at a cheap price. If we have a double bottom at 3.1k end of the year, I will clearly turn bullish for the years to come!

Although your "desired" (?) trend line is downwards, the market went up in the last ~24h. Not much, but still.. let's be honest and admit that the bears are sweating too  Wink

Wow look who's back. Bears are still in control? Muahaha, made my day... bears were in control last time back in 2018! Corona dump wasn't planned it was caused by force majeure and weak hands (mindrust reference goes here).

P.S. And get your BTC ready to pay to LFC for your lost bet (I doubt that you have any and/or that you're planning to pay). Grin

grudging respect for that old bird and her hired goons, moreso if the Kiwis agree with her actions. btw did she ever get any of their guns off them? (answer cmiiw is 'a few')

could go on about one antipodean cousin being a bit less gormless than the other, or about the blessings of geography, but actually am really happy for both lots of people. Do the abos and Maoris and whatnot get it worse than the white men, or say, the Greek men?

Guess it's tough for people who not only claim to be Hairy, but actually are, as they absorb that bit less Vitamin D.
