@binance
Makes you think.

And 0.269% of the global population is the theoretical maximum. I can personally guarantee there won't be 21M people able to own a whole bitcoin.
On the other hand there is probably at least 50% of the world population that will never own $9k either.
Well 10 years after from now the scenario may not be the same. May be this will be true for 0.1 BTC and then more 10 years after then we may have the same scenario for 0.01 BTC
I mean, after 10 years from now 0.1 BTC may worth  $9k (shit fiat) and more 10 years after 0.01 BTC may worth $9k.

You may be correct that it could take 10 years to 10x and then another 10 years to 10x again, but really those two time frames seem like a long time in bitcoinlandia.. even though you might be right..

Furthermore, we might have ups and downs that cause $9k today to be a sort of bottom.. even if we go up and we go down, but $9k is a kind of bouncing off price for today's thinking about the price of bitcoin.

Like your comment implies, something similar might be true 10 years from now (so around 2030), where BTC prices bounce all over, but $90k starts to seem like a bottom for all intents and purpose... and then 10 years later, around 2040.. $900k starts to seem like a kind of bottom for all intents and purposes around those 2040 times.

Looking backwards, it is going to be more clear where we have been, but looking forward, seems like a lot of fantasizing going on, even though many of us believe that there are decent foundations in place that cause what seems to be fantastical to end up playing out...

My clairvoyant abilities are less strong, besides 2040ies look like too far a target time-wise.
Can bitcoin hurry up and "deliver" in the next, say, 1-5 years?
I would be completely satisfied if we reach 100-150K during this time period and stay there longer than 24hr.
May I ask for 2 weeks, kind sir/ma'am?

Why do so many people in here have hats as their avatar

A lot of us are ashamed of our hair loss from years of crazy bitcoin price swings, but not silly enough to try a combover.

I feel like my hat needs an update... hmm maybe it just needs to be thrown in the wash?

You throw away your hat, we throw away YOU. Angry Grin

I didn't say throw it AWAY!  I said throw it in the wash! It's kinda smelly by now.

This will prevent you from taking it off even if just for a wash.

Good afternoon Bitcoinland.

Nice Bart... currently $9081USD/$12439CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

I'll consider that attempt to break the veggie line to a failure, and support there is reaffirmed.

Pretty pathetic, bears.

Isn't it so weird?
I believe bitcoin has never been in a better place than it is now.
We have just halved, you can buy bitcoin a lot easier. On boarding is easier than ever.
More ATMs, convenience store outlets, 7-11, rite aid etc.
PayPal coming in soon.
Gray-scale buying up more BTC than is being mined.
More bigger players coming in to the space.
More innovation in the crypto sphere than ever. It's literally exploding around us.
FIAT printers going brrrr.
Where does the price go? South!

I am not concerned though because I know that when this train starts heading North there won't be any stopping her until we get well into six figures.
It's going to be epic.
Hodl on my fellow wo brethren.

I know what you mean. But, there are also a great number of people having financial issues right now and being that BTC is mainly a retail thing it could be that more people are needing to sell for personal reasons at the moment than normal.

I'm noticing that despite things opening up again where I live that there seems to be a second round of lay-offs occurring. This is not just retail businesses that realise they are no longer viable in the new normal, but also businesses that were at first immune to the initial shutdowns due to a backup of work.

Dispite all the printing and fiscal responses, we seem to still be suffering a deflationary period with anything that is driven by the non-wealthy, low capital owning classes.

So with time printing and fiscal will have an effect, but I think it is going to take a bit longer.

This hat has the most personal touch of any hat I've designed to date.  After searching the entire internet for the perfect 'caps lock' key or combination lock picture to no avail, I decided to use one of my own - that lock is the one I use on my luggage when I travel (it has many air miles on it).  I set the tumblers to 777 for luck, placed it on one of my hats at just the right angle and took a picture.  I must admit I was really happy with the way it came out  Grin

Thanks for the merit bath!  Now I just have to figure out how to properly ration them so I don't run out just as the best post of the week appears.
