Fifteen buys of the size of MicroStrategy's would consume the total annual mining production.

#justsayin'

wow. what percentage of all US $billion companies would that be?

the list of 500 largest public companies ends with $3.2 bil market cap, so maybe 600-700 public and 489 private (unicorns), total of about 1000,
so 15 companies would be about 1.5%.

Just updated my node. I hadn't noticed v0.20. When did it come out?

Code:
$ bitcoin-cli --version
Bitcoin Core RPC client version v0.20.0

https://bitcoin.org/en/version-history

Ah, thanks. Gosh, June?? It feels like three months have been taken away from my life.
I've got to find a way to make up for it.

sentiment of bitcoiners seems quite negative against ethereum.

people fear what they don't understand, I guess. Or maybe it's envy these guys are being swamped with coins.

btw: not saying ETH is a good investment, I have strong doubts. Ethereum being successful does not necessaril imply ETH will be valuable.

also: I'm not endorsing ethereum, I just think it's highly interesting, mainly from a technical perspective and for the implications it might have (which I can't yet fully imagine). Unsure who's really behind it, either, and what the larger plan is there...

One thing I can say for sure, though: comparing ethereum to any old altcoin pump & dump is just fucking lame. If you do that you're either too lazy to take a look at what it is and therefore ignorant, or you are hostile against it for some reason and spreading fud.

ok

aesma isn't my name, if it was it would be a bit strange too, although most people don't know what it means, and don't check.

I learned not to check on names when I loaned my friend my MMORPG account and he created a character named Lemon Party. Big mistake.

heavy rain in China, hashrate dropping in Sichuan

so we are 69.48 blocks ahead of pace.

if flooding hurts hash rate in 1 day we will be under 60 blocks ahead of pace.

along with the 12300+ price miners such as myself will be smiling.

BTW if you pay attention I don't post here very much but i have been doing so for the last month or so.

Basically I really think we are going onward and upwards for a while.

Looks like some one had to shut down a lot of gear due to the flood

we dropped over 1 block per hour for the last 5-6 hours

this would be good for me.means more coins will be earned by the farm next jump.

it would be nice if this keeps up for a few days.

Kinda cool to have a miner posting in the wob thread.
Back in the day,* I used to mine bitcoin when it was actually worth it for little ol' me and my measly S4.
Was just curious what you are mining with today?
I've been outta that game for awhile now.

( * "back in the day" in the real world usually refers to like 20-30 years ago....in this space it's like,... 4-5 years ago.. lol)

  I manage 1.7ph of btc
I manage cpus and Gpus  which convert shit coins to btc
and I manage some LTC/Doge gear. I convert all the ltc to doge.

I get a share of the coins and own part of this gear.

So I am hodling BTC and Doge

After years of mining I have finally paid off all the gear and I am pulling in some decent coin. I created a power plan that basically gives me a share of the coins earned under all circumstances so it will always earn some coins for me. Of course that can lessen monthly when diff rises earning in btc shrinks.

Which is why I am here rooting for 13k to get past by the end of the month. As price needs to outstrip difficulty.

Basically I can endlessly hodl, but at 63 years old I am looking to retire in 2023. Some coins will be
Liquidated coins then.  It is not like there is a fortune anyway.
I don't have 20 btc and 100,000,000 doge to hold. If I did I would start to get nervous as that would be around 600k and I would feel my hands get very weak.

I am positioned well if we rise  upwards and onwards. So it makes sense to come here and root for the bull.

There is no man made climate change. The sun sometimes is hotter for decades or centuries  and the sun is some times colder for decades and or centuries.

What there is are bunch of morons burning all the coal and oil rather then mining and storing it.

Right now we have enough free sun to use solar.

Store that oil and coal for when the sun gets colder.

You have lots of fuel saved for the endless winter to come.

You also gain much cleaner lungs out of the deal.

The truth is above.  All those that argue for or against climate change are fools.

People should argue for oil storage and coal storage. while we use sunlight  wind  water energy for the time being.

Then when the sun cools down we will have lots of pre mined stored coal ready to save us. Along with a large supply of pumped oil that will be used until the sun gets warm again.

Btw this solves all energy issues. Governments could do this.

But old rich mother fuckers have most of the world duped.

I said that for this next bull market cycle, the rally would start late this year (2020), and probably peak out at the end of next year (December 2021), at around USD $333,000. That’s good news, but be aware that a crash could take the prices down 87% or more, from the peak. That would mean a rock bottom price of $41,000 by January 2023.

Ya know after seeing your reply I had to google the other amazing catchy songs from that classic flick..
I think I know every line and every lyric of every song in that movie.
Probably my all time favorite disney production. A masterpiece IMHO.

Just signed in and checked value during a meeting. The big smile on my face was noticeable, need to work on that....

But I wonder what value would make me say "fuck this, I'm outta here!!!!" in the middle of a conference. Hm....

Good thing to think about the matter before pulling such fuck you lever.

In other words, it is almost as bad as a mindrust, but not quite, to be pulling the fuck you lever too soon.

Be careful with that!  It might just be a glitch.  Verify before acting.

Exactamente!!!!!!  That is what I was trying to say.   Wink

Where's the fun in that?

That is another way of thinking about the matter.... I suppose.

Dumped some at $12387. Posting here so I can be laughed at later.

What an idiot  Cheesy  we just hardcore HODLers  Grin Grin

Less forum posting more BTC stacking  Tongue Kiss

Generally, it is not good to have good spirits about selling, even though sometimes there might be some necessary evil in shaving a bit off the top.

Seems that remorse is a preferable selling disposition, if saying anything at all about it.

Something like this might be acceptable;  Perhaps?:
