it's a fallacy, there is no such fucking thing as intrinsic value, it doesn't exist. See subjective theory of value

... and then maybe ponder for a while how it is the the human brain that "endows" things with value, that were previously without such a property, i.e. not intrinsic.
Agreed, things are valuable because of our subjective view and many times this depends on what we can do with them, a perfect and modern example of this was oil, for thousands of years farmers excavated in order to try to find underground water and cursed their luck when they found oil, why? Because we could do nothing with it and as such it was not valuable, but then we learned how to do something with it and farmers went from cursing their luck to dance in happiness when they found oil.

Another good example of subjective value and how it changes depending on our circumstances is a bottle of water and 10k dollars in a bank account, a bottle of water is not very valuable if you are in a city and the 10k dollars will be of more use in those circumstances, but if you are lost in the desert then the value of that bottle of water increases dramatically while the 10k dollars in your bank account become useless during those circumstances.

... nice examples. Demonstrates that value is dependent on the spatial location and temporal situation of the human ... i.e. not intrinsic to the objects.

Like cigarettes in a prison, oxygen at the top of a mountain, water in a desert, fuel for someone who does/doesn't have an engine, etc, etc,

For 10k you can get someone to carry your water bottle

2017 ATH we only had 1 daily average above 19k and only 2 daily averages above 18k

this time we had so far 7 daily averages above 19k and 12 daily averages above 18k

that is 3 days during December 2017 in contrast to 19 days currently.

question to WO TA experts:

does this still resemble a potential double top?  are there rules on how many candles can be counted to form a double top? we have been up there only 3 days before, but now ist almost 3 weeks. can it be even compared?

In fact, no.... Not even for millions... depending on location/circumstances. No matter if its intrinsic value is almost negligible.

Scarcity (supply) combined with need (demand) will always have way more influence in PRICE than any "intrinsic value" (which is only ONE factor of both supply and demand)  theoretical bullshit.

Good morning WO...

Bitcoin Price in this day... 14 December

What do you think, What is the probability that we will meet the same price in 1 day?

Are you trying to say that you intend to post this chart every day in order to monitory if BTC prices strike the same price in any day on an annual basis?  That would be close to an irrelevant metric.. sure most of the time, BTC prices end up being hire, but sometimes there could be a 4 year stretch in order for BTC prices to be higher in a subsequent annual basis... So far in BTC history the BTC price has never been lower 4 years later, but in the end, so fucking what?  Such a trend need not last forever, even though such trend is a part of BTC's current price history that we can see on the charts.

that is 3 days during December 2017 in contrast to 19 days currently.

Just for reference, you are likely getting your BTC price information (or at least substantively the same conclusions) from daily weighted BTC price tables, here.

Similar BTC price dynamics took place in early 2017 and even later throughout 2017, there were periods of time in which the weighted BTC prices were coming in the top of the tables for weeks and months, and many of us kind of become bored with such ongoing UPpity BTC price dynamics including that prices would be filling in areas towards to the top of the tables and of course the lower price numbers on the tables would be disappearing on a regular basis, too - including that we later found out that some of those lower price numbers would never be visited again.. but only finding out after the fact.. and continued ongoing price battles at higher prices...

It is a kind of in your face Lindy effect in play that is kind of subtle at the same time because of course, there are all kinds of doom and gloom ideas out there and even ideas that some of us HODLers should be shaving off some dollar profits because bitcoin is in a bubble or it is going to correct a lot, blah blah blah.

question to WO TA experts:

does this still resemble a potential double top?  are there rules on how many candles can be counted to form a double top? we have been up there only 3 days before, but now ist almost 3 weeks. can it be even compared?

You know better than that, 600W.   Angry Angry Angry Any purported TA expert that is worth his/her salt (whether WO or otherwise) better be accounting for current BTC price prediction models in order to properly juxtapose TA - foney baloney with various other important factors... including that we still be in no man's zone...  Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

Get out there and propagate some fairly decently double plus good (and hopefully substantively varied) content...
