No I would not.

I would say that you need to prosecute people that break the law.  Existing laws are sufficient, they just need to be enforced.

In particular, people that murder police officers who are trying to do their job need to face the full force of the law.  

And politicians that tell that crowd an hour previously that "“We fight like hell, and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore" bear responsibility for whipping up and inciting the crowd.

Now I know all the Trump apologists on this thread are going to say that he didn't incite violence and that he didn't mean it.  But in your hearts you know he wanted a riot and you know that he deliberately held back the National Guard and prevented the brave officers on the hill from getting the support they so desperately needed.

This was an attempted militia coup, and we are all very lucky that it failed.  Some might think that a rioting crowd erecting a gallows is just a prank, but that's not how others see it.  The fact that a number of rioters were carrying large packages of zip tie restraints indicates they intended to use them.

Violence needs to be addressed at 'violence' level, not on people 'having wrong opinions' level.

Yes, when you failed in preventing violence at educational and mindset levels, you have to address it at the "violence level".
In complex system theory, the latter would be a great example for a fail, however.

"ban" if not violence, is at least force. Should be avoided.

How can you be so protective of Trump supporters? Trump has been spreading lies and inciting hatred for years and what we see now is the result of that. Words have become deeds. I am sure that the division will continue under Biden, Trump voters feel cheated of their victory and do not accept the new president. You can see even here how deluded some people are.

Banning, monitoring, censoring, removing, or cancelling anything that isn't illegal as determined by a judge and directed by law enforcement with a warrant, is the start of a very dark future for all of us.

Yeah, there are a lot of mentally ill people on the far right and on the far left but unless they do something "illegal", they have a right to say and do whatever they want. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should be curtailed in any way unless congress or their state legislature passes a law against whatever they are doing and law enforcement takes action.

The idea that incitement of anything should be illegal is just plain communist to the core. That's basically saying, don't say anything controversial or in dissent or it might incite someone to do something. Now, if you directed someone to do something illegal, like if Trump said go kill people, then maybe there is something illegal there.
