Lesson from owning a cruise ship...there are a lot of people/systems in place built to extort you once you have something of value that you want to keep.
It's ridiculous. Throwing millions here and there just to fend off people from using the force of government to take away our property.
I've been watching the TV show Yellowstone, which has a similar storyline, only with a guy and his ranch.
I was a minimalist just 3 years ago where I only owned about 40 items (including every piece of clothing). It was bliss. No worries.
Of everything I think bitcoin is the easiest thing in the world to actually own that has value.
Though it appears that CSW is trying to join the ranks of those utilizing the force of government to go after that as well. Fuck that faketoshi guy.
It is interesting, isn't it? How many millions did you give those rotters and looters in exchange for "freedom" which turned out to be an illusion? Not trying to be a dick here, but it's an interesting thing to ponder who has the money now and why they have it. Re-reading Atlas Shrugged every once in a while is an experience. Yes a lot of the writing is crap, but the thought of a solid gold bitcoin logo in the center of a town is..... interesting..... |

Case in point, if you hypothetically froze the codebase of every cryptocurrency in existence today and said there would be no more updates to them, ever. Bitcoin:The existing codebase has so much almost perfect set of attributes/functionality/security/value as deflationary money and settlement that, frozen in its existing form, could still one day become a world reserve currency. It's that good, even as-is. The devs would never have to touch another line of code and still it shows the amazing value it gives you today and into the future. If no other crypto existed but Bitcoin, the world of the future would be fine. Better than fine, actually.
Shitcoins: Nope, every single one of them base their current value on "new functionality coming in future", "new promised updates", "future extensions", "coming infrastructure re-platform 2.0/3.0/4.0" etc., etc. Freeze their codebases and their worthlessness would be exposed overnight. And almost all of them are still awkward solutions looking for problems and use cases that either don't exist, or are not really a problem at all. Get rid of them all, and the world wouldn't miss a beat or care. That alone shows you how shallow/flimsy they all are. |

Good morning Bitcoinland. Sideways 'r' us... currently $31967USD/$40728CAD (Bitcoinaverage). The winter (N. hemisphere) doldrums. Blah. Looks like it could be good food but what horrible presentation. They could have spread it out to fill the plate, separating the different foods and arranging them by shape and color. Instead they just dumped it all in a heap in the middle of the plate. So careless, so lazy. Reminds me of "Nouvelle" cuisine. What a scam that was. Cheaper ingredients, lazier preparation, smaller portions, higher price, no care in presentation. Total ripoff. Still, despite the presentation, the food looks it's probably delicious. The Dude must replies..... LoL (not much else to say ....) maybe better to stay with Mexican burrito’s etc  Jimbo a respected member and best opinions with BTC Jimbo a complete n00b when we talk food....  |
