Good evening/afternoon, gents.

EDIT: Looks like buying pressure resuming. Yesterday's second pump started about 23h ago. Coincidence?

Of course DCA works..

it is a solid technique.. and maybe it is not looking like it works for fucktwats who waited until the past few months to get in, but if you had DCA'ed in to bitcoin over the past 2-3 or more years, you would be sitting pretty god-damned pretty at this point.

Bitcoin is not going to reward peeps who are short-sighted and gambling as well as the DCA'ers and the HODLers.. (which includes stat stackers).

Oh.. yeah and for sure, none of us have been suggesting any one sized fits all strategy because DCA surely works, but it also supplements both front-loading and over-investing... which are both great strategies as well, in moderation of course.

Ok, I agree,  DCA works and in fact it's worked very well as my history documents here in WO,  just trolling the growing FOMO sentiment Wink couldn't help myself lol Wink  Grin  You have credit in part for introductory to a DCA strategy and education here, cheers!  Never did fancy that ladder approach stuff though  Roll Eyes

Hm. Thanks for the data point 600w, I appreciate it. One of my personal flaws is I tend to extrapolate my experiences with some things to encompass others: Having driven a 2000's Sienna for years I acquired a serious distaste for minivans even though it was a fine vehicle with pretty good acceleration. Then driving the Cayenne made me think of it as a really fast minivan (still ug) and I extended that projection to the Tesla X without actually trying it (ie: All SUVs suck).

Minivans have an unjustly bad rep. Sure, they're a bit unmaneuverable and are not generally speed kings but they're very functional and the fuel economy isn't bad. We got rid of ours about 8 years ago and there's been several times I wished we still had it. You could fit a 4x8 in there and it was generally more convenient than a truck. I think my wife wants one again.

I like my minivan. Pacifica. Not hybrid. It drives like a car, it's smooth, it accelerates fast enough for most purposes, I think the one I have has a 3.6 liter v6 engine so its powerful enough if you step on the pedal. I believe mine has the equivalent of 9 speed automatic transmission so it really saves a lot of fuel on highway drives.

And yes, I used it to grab some 4x8 plywood from home depot. It can fit 50+ sheets. Covered. Unlike pick up trucks where the back is usually not covered.

DCA is simple and easy and works almost all the time. It does better than almost any other thing except outright buying as much as you can from the start.

The other thing is that DCA may be the only thing most people can do anyways, since they get paid twice or once a month, then that's the only time they can buy into BTC.

For those who have a huge stash of cash and not sure whether they should buy all in or DCA, they can hedge and do both 50/50.

If you have 1 billion dollars, you can do what Tesla and MicroStrategy did and buy as much as you can in as short as possible a time frame, or you can buy 500 million to start, then DCA the rest over the year. If the price goes down, you buy more. If the price goes up, you end up with less, but you already got in halfway with the first 500 million.

Friendly helpful hint (I only learned just recently.... I'm old, etc...)
right click on the vid when it reaches your selected start time (or fast forward), and you can generate a link that starts at that time.

How embarrassing

"I first invested in Bitcoin in 2017 - I was nervous about putting too much in, so I went for around £500.

I cashed it in for £2,500 during one of its peaks, and had a great holiday in Iceland - the cash came in handy, Iceland is lovely but expensive."

None of them saw Bitcoin for what it really is: a revolution. They merely saw it as a means to splash out on Bentleys and holidays. Calling them amateurs is very generous...

HFSP indeed.
