Really? lower 50% now own more land/resources than ever before? Cause this is a bitcoin forum and surely you wouldn't try to deceive by measuring "wealth" of lower 50% in absolute 2021 US dollars now would you?

Well, then why have brackets for everything else and leave 20% cap gain static for ultra wealthy, what makes it such a perfectly balanced number? Why was it fine at 35% in the 70s but now only a dirty commie would suggest bumping it to 21%? Following your logic on how filthy rich are more efficient than poor, then it'll be logical to raise taxes on poor and middle class (there's 0 chance they'll get us to Mars) and lower it for ultra rich? Then just hope really really hard that out of hundreds of billionaires that spend their money on hookers and blow and writing their names to be seen from space (as their rightfully should, it's their damn money , new idea for Bob?) the next one hopefully turns out like Musk and decides to find cure for cancer?

This is just the US but the whole world is on a similar trajectory as long as we don't ruin it by some shortsighted socialist policies.

Because investment money is what allows businesses to be created, expanded, and to create jobs. Jobs aren't magical things that appear on their own. More taxes on investment money means less investment. You're not going to fix any of the wealth gap by increasing taxes anyway. They will not pay the taxes. They will just reduce investment or move to a more tax friendly country. Even when the rates were high in the past, they did not collect more taxes as a percentage of income. The wealthy will just change their behavior to avoid the taxes. It's game theory.

If you want to change the wealth gap for real and not as part of a socialist agenda, stop shopping at Amazon and using products or services from huge companies. We can go back to mom and pop shops and the wealth will be more evenly distributed.

Again, taxation will never change "wealth inequality" short of full on socialism/communism where the companies are taken away from the owners. The US tax system is already one of the most progressive in the world so stop complaining and enjoy what your ancestors built for you.

Re. meat eating, vegans, etc.:

Cows are not compatible with eating corn, but corn is being used because it's cheap and abundant. As a result, their stomachs get filled with bacteria and they need to be fed heavy doses of antibiotics to deal with this. Watch Food, Inc. (2008) and be disgusted by it, among other disgusting things.

I vaguely remember reading that it's not corn itself that is the issue, but rather bacteria and other infective agents that grow when corn ears and other waste product is kept in silos for a sufficiently long time.

I have a few vegetarian and vegan friends. I don't know how good or bad their medical exams are, but I do know how they themselves look. They look kind of abnormal (in varying degrees). Some are abnormally thin. Something about them is off. Women are less feminine for some reason. Less attractive (to me at least). Could this be nature's "don't mate with her" defense mechanism? Also, they're often tense and angry, and pick on little things to start arguments. Nothing against them, just my non-scientific observations.

you have to keep in mind that Span A and B swap places depending on if the candles are 'above or below" said cloud

Sold a little portion above $50k, which was planned to be sold around $40, while a bit of it got sold in the $60k area already.

I agree that sometimes it can be quite difficult to plan for some of these kinds of future expenses or maybe even cost overruns or temptations to be willing to ride out the market.. but then when it is moving against you, sometimes it may well be better just to pull the sell lever, even if you end up doing it in a way that is NOT exactly correct in terms of best practices of selling on the way up.. rather than selling on the way down (or at some relatively low BTC price point).

But, like Jimbo correctly and regularly asserts, us longer term HODLers sometimes are going to need to sell some kind of chunk of our BTC because we need that cashflow for something that is meaningful and helpful for us (and perhaps we have exhausted other less valuable assets/cash in terms of Gresham's law considerations), and sometimes, the shorter term market circumstances might NOT be the preferable time to sell (relatively speaking)... but if you are considerably in profits with your BTC anyhow (whether that is 2x, 5x, 10x, 100x or some other variation of a profitable BTC stash), you might just have to do what you gotta do.. which is sell (or shave off a bit).

When I see a homeless beggar lying on the sidewalk with a cigarette butt in his lips and the neck of a bottle protruding from a brown paper bag, I see a taxpayer... alcohol taxes, tobacco taxes, who knows how many other taxes.
