Will another law making it even more illegal to hold computer systems hostage for bitcoin do anything actually? Maybe the Russian oligarchs should just embrace bitcoin rather than using their puppets to enact more useless laws.

Well not a spam specially on WO but I guess question could be asked do we need it hourly?
Probably not. But how is Chartbuddy to know what is considered interesting? Bear in mind that this is the wall observer thread and not the price observer* thread (though you might be forgiven for not knowing that these days) and that anything older than an hour is already stale news. *And as others have suggested, if you want price history, sites like bitcoinity already provide that well. One also might keep in mind that this thread has evolved quite a bit since its inception. The days of just 'observing' walls is long past imo. I also think that if the current curator of this thread does not like or approve of something that is posted then it usually gets dealt with in a fairly timely fashion. I think the general consensus is that ChartBuddy posts are appreciated by most the troops but as pointed out by one of our esteemed elders, perhaps one post a page would suffice. If you feel like being really clever maybe there is a way to make sure it posts at the top of every page. I have heard there might be good results doing that. Regardless of all that..thanks for the hard work Richie_T. +10 WOsMerits

lol you'll be lucky if this bull trap goes back to even 50k, most likely they are opening tons of shorts to retest the low. And who cares about bitcoin it's an antiquity losing its marketcap to the next big things it will go extinct like the dinosaurs. I have another news for you Bitcoin is now too expensive for 95% of people to even buy one so they turn to cheaper alternatives. Riches can play who has the biggest but new blood to dump on will be lacking unless they are some dumb healthy investors. Also the volume is ridiculous and price artificial they can dump the price 50% with a tiny fraction of the coin supply it's ridiculous. Cheers.
Man, you're retarded or what? Who cares about marketcap and stuff? Does Bitcoin need to have 100% or 1% market share to be successful? Bitcoin is too expensive? You're kidding right? That's the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard! That's like saying I won't buy gold because it's too expensive, I will buy steel because it costs less and I can afford to buy more... are you completely retarded?

I think so far the orchestrated smear campaign against Bitcoin is mainly from western countries, China wrote a recommendation/warning that was deliberately modified by western mainstream media (Reuters quoted all over), to create FUD. What Elon tweeted earlier was part of the same effort, my theory is that he was cornered to write that shit, or felt like his attempts to impose control over the Bitcoin development community failed so he had to vent that frustration. Then the IRS news...what's next?
an attack to cause "plebs" to release bitcoin, which then could be bought by the "investment class" (wall streeters, hedgies, VCs).

Bitcoin’s geometric mean zeroed in on a sine wave over the years. The sine’s period converged on the halving duration. Very nice match, as shown in the corner chart… until the drive to $64k happened. The corner chart shows how it torqued the GMA (green) away from the sine (yellow). The projection to Jan 2024 is an ad hoc path that could return bitcoin’s movement to its historic sine pattern, synchronized with the halvings. That is just one possibility, but it illustrates how far out of whack the market has got, and how long it will take for things to work out. I’ve addressed this with a purely pattern-matching approach. The conclusion agrees with what at least one fundamentalist on-chain analyst is saying, namely Willy Woo. He tweeted recently, “we need to absorb a ton of distribution that’s been dumped onto the market” My guess is the price action will look like it’s deviating from the four-year cycle we’ve known and loved. Might look almost like a supercycle to some people. It really only means that the cycle will take maybe a year longer to play out, compared to what we used to see.

yup it will never be the same the wuhan lab is off limit now, corrupted OMS who promoted the Remdesivir against the choloroquine can't even step a foot in that lab, variants started to pop when massive vaccination started in england and sud africa most likely causing the mutations. In 2023, the ultimate variant will pop and decimate us all Now you're really starting to sound like mindrust...

Are we still in denial or moving to anger? Probably the latter with China/Russia being the culprit yet again. The funny thing is that China/Russia wants to suppress bitcoin because it represents freedom and dummies on the West suppress it because it represents China somehow?! WTF

China is a plague they changed the world for the worst, that harmless virus is a pretext to change the whole world and put liberticidal laws everywhere and global social monitoring. We'll all be chinese soon.
... whatever else you're on about you've nailed it on this, chinese commies are worse than the nazis because they studied Sun Tzu and Confucius ... there is little doubt now that SARS-CoV2 is a genetically-engineered chimera from a chinese lab, whether it's release is intentional or not is currently unknown, I'm at 50-50 chance either way, the West is basically clueless that they are subject to a biowarfare attack and banned from speaking about it! .... and the billions spent on surveillance and intelligence has nothing useful to add, uh-huh, what a useless bunch of porn-watching nose-picking gubmint tossers ... now why are there so many 'variants' in this virus? Are these new releases from the chinese labs? Largely the virus was stable to begin with ( until the vaccines were in production) but now appears to be mutating rapidly. Is it perhaps due to the genetic engineering of the spike protein making that area of the DNA molecule unnaturally unstable and prone to rapid mutations? Has humanity opened Pandora's box by releasing genetically-engineered human-targeted viruses? I have thought everything you've posted above from day 1 the virus became common knowledge in the west. The virus probably escaped by accident, like a previous SARS variant, this even after US gave them $millions to make The Wuhan Institute of Virology more bio secure. China not content with fucking up the world, now we have China Bans Bitcoin variant No 2. With possibly China Bans Bitcoin variant No 3 in the form of large dump FUD. Its beer o'clock after a hard days work.

I am still confident in Bitcoin in the long-term and even on this bullrun. I really don't think we had the top at 65K before the bearmarket.
BUT
We should to admit that this dump from 60K without any really bounce till 30K is huge, and no one expected this. And came very fast. This happened just after an only 3x ATH. It is not if it appeared after a X10+ from ATH.
In addition, we still don't know if the bottom is printed. If we go to 25K$ish, or to previous ATH (or even below.. can't imagine now), how the market and the cycle will react ? I mean the Daily, weekly and monthly are already ugly now.
We should accept that we never saw this kind of DIP in a BTC bullmarket (proportionally).
HODL.
