add MY age in and even better.

I see companies do that all of the time. We have 10 board members who's collective age and experience is 500 years (or something absurd)... Like you can simply have a team of 20 to 30 devs who have 2000 years of experience?

yeah kinda funny that

but now that you mention it..

wonder what satoshis (sole/combined) age is? 40 yo? 200 yo? 5000000000000 yo (if the nsa did it)

Stop posting about him, this is what he wants.

Don’t give him that

Agreed, even when he make a fool out of himself, his urge for attention is at the top of the list.

Currently flock tendencies are all over the place, can be good, but not when based on desperation without thought.

Remember this guy?

Yes sorry my bad auto correction on iPhones 🤦‍♂️

Let's say Satoshi was a group, it would seem there is only one spokeperson who posted on the forums, as the posts are consistent up until he or she or they disappeared. So maybe he was working with a group but the main character is the only one posting as a single entity.

There are two simple explanations for that:

1. Satoshi died.
2. He deleted access to the wallets / never had access to them / mining computer nuked / did not care for value.

It's quite possible someone has more than enough money to resist the urge trying to cash out a few billion dollars worth of bitcoin, but that's unlikely.

The greatest response in television history, by
@JackMallers   https://twitter.com/DocumentingBTC/status/1408144323204497413?s=20  Legend

I have quite a bit of troubles with that characterization regarding a supposed "great" response.

Surely, Jack is a smart guy and has a lot of great perspectives in regards to both why bitcoin is a great solution and the various technical/mechanical aspects that allow bitcoin to serve the El Salvadorean people and people overall, but his level of emotionalism is really getting in the way of various positive messages that he could communicate way better and really causes him to appear like a clown rather than someone to be taken seriously.

It seems that I had already heard him say that there had been people attempting to advise him on his ways of presenting, but he wants to be more raw and more real.. and sure maybe it is all fine and dandy to be raw and real when dealing with your homies, but if your audience is the world (such as an audience that Fox News would draw), then there would be a lot of advantages to attempt to present without so many emotions.

Furthermore, there are a lot of guys that proclaim that they are willing to "die on this hill" or go down with the ship, and so sure, there can be some value in martyr status, but I still have some problems to inviting martyr status rather than approaching the confrontational matters more practically.  Sure, go ahead and throw in a few zingers here and there, no problem, but personally it seems way better, to me, if he had tried to present a bit less emotionally, a bit more emphasis on the technicalities and practicalities and staying out of governance and politics.. Maybe he wants to run for office later, but at this point, he's a technician and a person of application and sure a person that wants to encourage and spread bitcoin/lightning network / strike adoption.

I assume this will be a specter that haunts us forever...  Well, we can sort of hope so at least.  Because the other options are all scarier.

I am sure you have done the same thought experiments.

Coins from Satoshi address move with no warning:  Eek.  This will most likely cause a huge price crash. Even if "Satoshi" appears to explain it it will be a little scary.

Satoshi posts the intent to sell/move coins.  Several interesting scenarios here.  I think the most interesting scenario would be if he were to move those coins to a known burn address (1111111111111111111114oLvT2 for example)  That could cause some fairly crazy price swings, but would arguable end in a gain.

Satoshi is either dead, or lost the keys are has the god like willpower to not spend.  I feel like there are very few people with the tactical wisdom strong enough to know that he must play this exactly right.  I still wonder about Szabo.  He is one of the few who I think has the correct alignments for this...

It is a part of it, no matter what...

Crypto per carat! Sotheby's to accept cryptocurrency for diamond auction

Quote
The world's largest broker of fine art and jewelry, Sotheby's, will accept cryptocurrency for the first time as payment for a rare diamond, which is expected to fetch up to $15 million at an auction in Hong Kong next month.

I hope by cryptocurrency they do mean “bitcoin”

If none of the coins move in the next 5 to 10 years from now, they are probably never going to move at all.

If there was ever any intent to move them, ideally, he just burns them (and not by sending to a burn address). There are other methods, and if one wanted miners to have an incentive to further secure the network, one can gradually use intentionally large fees over the next hundred thousand blocks, only the miners would get the coins?

It just seems likely that the coins will simply never move and the longer they don't move, the likelier that is to remain. And it keeps everything simple, nothing moves, nothing is really burned, they are just all where they are. Any coins that have not moved in the last ten years, would seem unlikely they will ever move at all, except for those few miners who were not Satoshi, and there will be news when a coin mined in 2009 moves.
