Plan B
@100trillionUSD
Looks like I was too early dismissing diminishing returns scenario. I fact, this will be the key question next 6 months:
1) Was $64K the top and will we oscillate between $25K-50K?
2) Or was $64K not the top and will the bull market resume towards S2F $100K-288K?
My money is on 2
https://twitter.com/100trillionusd/status/1411287372956942337?s=21

I am also going with the second option which is the future choice as most famous investors and global companies have just joined the list so oscillation between $25-$30k is temperorary and $64k was just this year's ATH.Next year in 2022 we would be giving two options:
1) Will it be oscillating between $65k-$70k?
2)Or will ATH of $100k again be crossed?

Bitcoin has always gone beyond our expectations so being optimistic about its growth is best in our side.

No, 64k was an anomaly, the range we are in presently is where we are supposed to be in this part of the cycle, the blow of top ATH will come in November or December.

Lots of stories of people receiving an unsolicited password reset email from Binance. Could be a fluke but …  Roll Eyes
against company and owners. I'm being cautious, not condemning the exchange at this point.

Well, as holder of an (empty) Binance account, I’m not happy receiving unsolicited reset password emails while learning that it is happening all over the board. Something is not right.

If you don't celebrate the 4th July just renounce your citizenship, you are not worthy of your country.

Does that include Native Americans and foreigners? Wink

What? How is this how Cobra helping Bitcoin? Did he accept the defeat?
The court case was about Bitcoin Whitepapper not about the open source license software.

The judgement prevents Cobra from distributing the whitepaper, directly or indirectly. The whitepaper is in the blockchain, so the software can be used to download the whitepaper. Thus Cobra has to block the source code too.

Exactly, plus the cost of contesting the CSW nonsense  against CSW millionaire / billionaire backers would ruin most individuals. The people in UK who would be most likely to visit bitcoin.org will be using a VPN anyway so it will make zero difference.

CSW pulled the stunt in the London court because this type of litigation is more likely to be successful there, even when defended and this furthers credibility of his claim to be Satoshi. The next lawsuit brought in a different jurisdiction will be able to cite that the London court recognized him as Satoshi.

Not quite sure why anyone would want to elevate themself and their family to the position of the world's No1 target for a $5 hammer attack.

BTC is back over 35k

The diff is dropping again almost bigly

This is looking like a coin grab by Bitmain  they have no chips to sell gear.

So they shut down their cloud mining lowered the hash rate by 50%

and are now mining with their own gear at a site out of China

Their 10% share of the mining was 17eh
If it was out of China it now earns 0.00919 x 17000 = 156 coins a day vs 7 coins a day when the diff was 25.05

I am thinking we get a huge price spike when chips become available.

This could be really bullish.

get your cheap coin now simply DCA a weekly buy for what you can afford to lose.

... so difficulty drops mean miners sell less to cover running costs

... supply decreasing.

Free country, do and think you what you want. Just my feelings on the subject.

To celebrate independence from Britain in 1776, I'll be enjoying a BBQ later with family.

Everyone have a great day including modrobert.

... the judge is an idiot if he doesn't spend 5 minutes looking at the MIT license to know it is a spurious, vexatious lawsuit that is exploiting his court ... unless he's somehow in on the scam

The judge followed precedent and did what was expected. Its not a failing on his part so much as the UK legal system.

Regardless, the issue only affects those in the UK, who can quite easily get around it with a VPN.

Umm so, Nuremberg defense for the judge?

Not my battle. Just pointing out that nobody expected the judge to act any differently, not even Cobra. If the judge had acted differently they would have had to explain why a defendant not showing up for trial shouldn't result in default judgment for the plaintiff, and break precedent.

Yes, the judge did what he was supposed to do. A default judgement for the plaintiff if the defendant does not show up is norm in all normal jurisdictions, otherwise you could avoid a trial and/or judgement forever by simply not showing up.
However, before a case goes to trial it's looked at to see if it's a "real" case or just a frivolous lawsuit, and this is where the court has failed, they should have thrown it out simply because of the MIT license.

So, why did Cøbra not show up? And why does he want to hide his identity? Is it because of fear of his life ($5 wrench attacks)?

Regardless, the code will keep running. No matter what any court says, 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

But I would obviously have preferred it if CSW lost that case. Now he has a precedent, and based on his past history, he will be rubbing it in our faces every chance he gets. He has even changed the White Paper author name:

That worries me (a bit): More than 54% of bitcoin’s hashrate ~ has dropped off the network since its market peak in May. If someone were to collect all this hashing power, it would be enough for a 51% attack.

So, why did Cøbra not show up? And why does he want to hide his identity?
Allow me to quote gmaxwell:
I’m sure you’ve all read about Craig Wright (Faketoshi) attempting to prove ownership of bitcoin.org & claims he wrote the bitcoin whitepaper & is Satoshi.
Was he claiming that he owns bitcoin.org? Seriously, if he owns, then why isn't he changing the DNS servers of that domain? Or from where the hell he claims the ownership?
He vaguely alleges it was stolen from him. Of course, he's absurdly vague because he knows nothing about Cobra or the history of the domain (beyond whats been posted) he's currently unable to usefully construct any forgeries to support his lies.  It's a safe bet that a big part of why he's obsessed with doxing cobra is to facilitate taking the domain by force.
