I do not require you to empower me.... I am empowering.

Yeah, I keep hearing the same thing from women in my life on an almost daily basis, in a multitude of different ways.

And here I am once again, googling for over half an hour: "how to make women shut up".

Life is hard for men.  Cry

Observation:

Nocoiners, lowcoiners, shitcoiners, mindrusters, et al., are usually the ones that talk too much*, directly or indirectly bashing Bitcoin, insinuating its destruction, and posting smartass funny comments about it, perhaps subconsciously trying to amuse themselves and ease the incoming pain they're all going to have to take. And that's a lot of pain. We're talking PAIN... The thick, flaky, rusty pipe kind of pain...

The HoDLers just chill, relax and patiently wait for the inevitable mega-UPpity, while stacking sats whenever they can. They know their coins are precious and would not part with them no matter what.

Life's good.

HoDL.

* I must exclude Jay, who always talks a lot (and is a HoDLer--and has something to say--most of the time--#no-homo, you fuck!)

Edit: Just for the record, death_wish is also excluded. And by "talk too much" I don't just mean long posts, but many posts. They know who they are, and they will soon feel the pain. The rusty pipe, train-in-your-ass kind of pain...

To tell you the truth, sometimes I envy mindrust a bit. The guy made history, he has a fair chance of being mentioned in Bitcoin history books. Of course, he paid the price, but his name has become immortal and he will be remembered in the centuries to come...  Grin

Genuine question... either my memory fails me, or I just never cared enough.... but what price did mindrust buy/mine at ?

He bought around the same price he sold at.

I think he bought a little higher than he sold, but together with the forks he came out about even.
If I remember it right, getting out before losing money was the main reason for him to pull the trigger...

What did that guy even think, that all the other buyers / holders never had to endure any paper losses??  fucking snow flake

This is when that "better part of valor" eludes me, and fuck you three letter fuckers. (no offense Gachapin... do not count you among these)

The paper losses I have endured.  Lol.

It might sound stupid... but the resolve to stand firm through the storms has taught me a mighty lesson.

In the end I might even start using the word "hodl".  Nah... not yet.

In your service.

Are there any nocoiners or low coiners here in this thread that bash Bitcoin and talk a lot about it (bashing Bitcoin) ?

Who do you mean?

I mean Death_wish talks a lot, has lost some of his BTC recently, but obviously has much love , and technical understanding of BTC, far more so than many most others here....and I have never seen him bash BTC, maybe talk about potential ways of improving it somehow but other than that...

I am a tad confused who you mean?

(I see hardly any or even no longterm, consistent posters here that "bash bitcoin" ?)

Proudhon?

Lambchop? (is she still alive?)

Most likely.  And most likely Lambchop 4.x is roaming around as we type...

Yeah, Crypto used to be short for Cryptography, or Cryptographic, or codes and ciphers.

Now it is short for 'ponzi scam'

Along the same lines, it seems to be short for speaking in gobbledy-gook in order that nobody knows what the fuck you mean (even if you might know what you mean, which also might be questionable when choosing to use such vague/amorphous language) because you fail/refuse to use the word bitcoin if you are talking about bitcoin... if you know what that is.

hahahaha

Someone needs to be designated as the "adult" in the room, and I designate my lil selfie.

So designated!  So ignored.  So much love.

Now how is a rag-tag band of survivors supposed to know what to do after a global apocalyptic event?

What are the chances that JWST would detect at least high oxygen at any of it's planetary targets or even evidence of Dyson spheres, perhaps (much less likely)?
If nothing indicating life's presence would be detected, the chances would grow even stronger that there are no tech civilizations in the vicinity (at least).
IMHO, JWST would compensate for the paucity of discoveries (after Higgs) on LHC and give us something really interesting.
It should be fun to follow.

I still think that bitcoin is about to bounce hard, but not going to risk buying options, just hodling.

My stonks finally went down significantly, I'm having a bad week. I'm not worried long term (blue chips, and they didn't increase madly like in the US, so they shouldn't crash bigly either) but it will change my life plans for a time. Looking at a cheap house I can get with the smallest down payment possible, instead of the best house I could buy selling the stonks...

I have gotten inspiration from my BTC trading and put ladders to buy stonks if they go down more. Not huge amounts but so I feel good when the price recovers, that I have gotten some cheap stonks along with some cheap coins.

That escalated quickly.
United States-based cryptocurrency mining firm Core Scientific sold more than 7,000 [Bitcoin] in June to pay for servers, increase its data capacity, and settle debts.

In a Tuesday announcement, Core Scientific said it had sold roughly $167 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) in June at an average price of $23,000 — 7,202 BTC. The sale left the firm with 1,959 BTC — roughly 21% of its holdings — and $132 million in cash as of June 30, a more than 75% drop when compared with its reported 8,058 BTC holdings as of May 31.

If I sold my stonks I would still be in the green fortunately, since I bought a significant amount at a discount (being my company's stonks). Selling when down like that would feel awful, unless you're 100% sure the price isn't recovering ever.

I won't be selling BTC anywhere near current prices (aside from small trades that don't count as they're counterparts of lower buys).
