Explanation
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Which other cryptocurrencies could present such opportunity to remain decentralized from government than bitcoin, creating another currency couldn't be as appropriate than joining the bitcoin community, could this be truly decentralized if not bitcoin? I think he might have been missing something out here but to my surprise is seing this coming from the Russian government which is an indication for more likely and possible growth edge of bitcoin adoption in Russia as the government also is now presenting means to encourage the use of bitcoin as securities and decentralized currency for it economy if we we consider the rate of Russians participation with bitcoin.

Life is keeping us super busy with the ranch. Lawsuit in full swing against the builder, and the general contractor is countersuing the builder, with us caught in the middle with a threatened lien on the parcels, so, just, fuck.

Tempted to just throw money at everyone to pay the bills and make things go away, but need to go through the legal process on principle, unfortunately. The general contractor legitimately created a Federal Issue for us and are clearly in the wrong.

The up and down in life is not suppose to change our focus but  build us stronger and forming part of our experience. I notice that people on the wrong are the people who rush to court to bring delay in our plans. They are prepare to do the delay because the court process is delay and reduce the pace of activities to progress for our time to live on earth

Fighting a deep depression and rather unpleasant to be around, presently.

Don't allow depression to get hold of you. Try and work away from it. See some friends and drinks some bear, it help sometimes.

Not sure we're gonna make it, TBH, but I need to wait for the lawsuit to resolve before planning my next steps.

Just the point I made. Court process delay your activities and some people do that intentional to pull you backwards. ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) can help faster, it settlement out the court.

Think I'm gonna go do the whole life of hermitude for the last half of my life.

Don't go into that state of staying away from people, socialize it will still help.

I sincerely hope the situation gets resolved soon and the result is in your favor. Life's too short to waste it in lawyers' offices and courtrooms.

I was thinking of a solution that would keep us out of court, started bouncing the idea off Rick, and now we're fighting again, so, yeah. That's how that went.

That is ADR. Both lawyers can agree discussion to settle of record of court interfer.

No, doubt, in this decade, the best investment is to invest in bitcoin. Because this will gives you massive profit in a very short period of time. As we all know that the ATH of bitcoin is 67000$. It means now, its available at 4 times less times from its ATH (all time high) price.

FTX was purchased at $22. So now you have done very few shows. Thus I ate e loss in all coins and now my situation is critical. Each coin was bought by me for 22 dollars 18 cents.

This happens when you think DCL is the core component of the game. BTC is not crypto but without BTC crypto is nothing. So if you really want to get the Holy Grail then invest a very small portion of it from your portfolio. It's like all or nothing situation so it's up to you whether you want to gamble all of your shit to find Holy Grail or stay with something that survived all the bear markets in the past.

I am all fine with proclaiming that something is not enough...  yet?  Do we want to go from zero to perfect?  And, what is perfect?  What would be perfect?  Is perfect achievable?  Is perfect even desirable?  I am not saying don't do nothing, but still there are balances to any of these matters.  Wouldn't progress be being made by first having all (or most) exchanges showing their bitcoin (showing what is verifiable, first?)?  That would be a start, no?  That would be a step in the right direction, no?

Powell seems to be suggesting that it is totally worthless to show the reserves because it is not enough and it is misleading - but is it a step in the right direction?  Do we believe that a company is going to show everything?  Every single thing?  Where's the incentive to show every single little thing?  And where is the verifiability in terms of showing every single little thing?   At least with bitcoin, and the bitcoin's blockchain there is verifiability.. and what else has anything close to the same level of verifiability as bitcoin?  Everything else requires some level of trust, no?

So I am not sure how you can show everything else without trust, so why not start with the verifiable aspects first.. and then once we get everyone showing the verifiable aspects (if that's even possible?), then we might be able to take some additional steps from there?  Maybe some exchanges are willing to show some of the their liabilities, but getting to show everything seems a bit much to expect anyone to cooperate in doing or even to consider that we want that level of transparency?  Then when is it going to stop?  When are the disclosures going to stop?  First institutions (such as exchanges) disclosing, but do the disclosures stop at that point, or then will we require individuals to disclose too?

The way I see it, perfect is desirable, but, sadly, not achievable. But we can try our best to get as close to it as we possibly can.

The problem I have with Binance's "Proof of Reserves" system, as explained by Kraken's Jesse Powell, is that they are adding up their assets and calling the sum "reserves". They are abusing the term, it is misleading and can give the wrong impression to clients who are not able to understand the terminology used.

Binance Proof of Reserves gives a proof that all user deposits in exchange are backed by some some funds, that's what exchange claims.

"What this means in actual terms is that Binance holds all user assets 1:1 (as well as some reserves), we have zero debt in our capital structure and we have made sure that we have an emergency fund (SAFU fund) for extreme cases,"
https://www.binance.com/en/news/top/7297483

The drawback with this Proof of Reserves is that it gives a summery of balance not complete data that shows movement of assets like we have in case of Bitcoin blockchain.

Notice how western media are now quite happy to report on Chinese anti Covid protests whilst it completely ignored those in our own countries and colluded with the governments to make people afraid of a flu virus that almost everyone who got it survived.

And now YOU have to be poor to pay for the measures taken during the Covid hysteria whilst the elite got even richer in the process with billions laundered.
