...if I'm not mistaken SBF gets charged in the same Southern District of NY as Jeffrey Epstein...
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/20/technology/sam-bankman-fried-bail.html
let's see if the security cams are working this time  Cheesy

But I doubt that he has nearly as much dirty material on big players as Epstein... so he will be fine, I guess.

Those NY Times links that you have been providing suck.

NYT articles are behind paywalls.

Here's some links in OmegaStarScream's post in another thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419710.msg61480281#msg61480281

As far as suiciding himself.. SBF seems way more unstable.. but yeah of course, the connection that you are making has to do with how much SBF might know, and the theory that Epstein knew too much.. which yes, that seems to be a valid angle.. and I doubt that SBF knows too much.... just a fucking dumb kid bribing to get political influence and achieving it... so that dirt may likely end up coming out.. no one likes it when politician fawn over schemes like this that are so obviously corrupt, and some of them are likely going to find it necessary to change their tunes a bit, at least in terms of recognizing the outrageous bullshit that was going on in terms of attempts to buy influence and actually buying influence (which is so far alleged as ONLY one charge.. yet we will see how much some of that information ends up getting unravelled).. like I mentioned earlier.. I give little shits about which side this is on, and I do not see it as one side versus the other.. but just a bunch a bullshit when there are these kinds of buying of influence behaviors... and yeah, maybe I don't know enough at this time if some individuals might be wanting to skew matters to protect their own heads from rolling if the evidence is coming out too specifically in regards to involvement of some specific individuals.

By the way Gachapin, you did not notice my earlier attempt in this post to suck you into another BTC price-related bet?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It seems to depend from which country you watch these links. It is perfectly visible for me..
I surely wouldn't pay a dime for this cancer outlet

Can't say anything against that... share most of it 1:1

Yes I got that. Thanks for your effort  Cheesy

Actually I was more interested in the guy stating we will see 20k+ on Christmas day. (Not bothering to search his comment, sorry)

However since shahzadafzal didn't answer my proposal for a bet yet, I was hesitant to poke the next guy with a bet, as I'm by no means a betting person and I didn't want to come off as one...

but some price predictions seem quite delicious for taking the opposite side of a bet.  ...like 20k+ by Christmas or new ATH in 1st quarter of 2023  Smiley

I feel that I am not really very much of a betting person either.. but members here make it so damned tempting when they are expressing pretty high level events with very high levels of certainty - so it may not even matter which direction in respect that they are making such strong proclamations - it becomes almost a bet that anyone could take - because the odds are against very strong proclamations coming true.

There are some fairly strong proclamations that are either far into the future or within a kind of framework in which it is a bit more difficult to take the other side of the bet.. so maybe the proclamation has to cross a certain threshold before I suggest a bet... and I have actually never had anyone take the other side of any suggested bet that I have made (which is usually in response to what another member states) - so maybe it is me?   Cry Cry Cry Cry

I do think it is a decently good exercise to see if we might be able to get members to stand behind their claims when they become so strong - and even feeling kind of outrageous.. which maybe in that sense getting into the details of structuring a bet is not easy, either.

You might be familiar with some of my outrageous BTC price & timeline claims from my December 6, 2021 assignment off probabilities, and I even had something nearing a 0.5% chance that BTC prices could reach more than $1.5 million by mid-2023.. or something like that.. but no one was trying to bet me regarding those kinds of time and price framings... and I believe that you could fairly read my odds of 55% that the $69k top of November 9 was "not in".. and so I guess I was spewing out some kinds of specifics that were ultimately whimpy rather than strong, so no one really asserted that I was being outrageous, and I expected a wee bit more pushback that I did not get.. not that I can remember.

Ho-ho-homo! I don't think many WOers are actually gay (apart from Bawb obviously). It's just a good old tradition which is believed to help Bitcoin rise!

You must not understand DCA.

DCA in respect to BTC does not give any shits about short term prices - except perhaps retaining a presumption that in the long term 4-10 years or more (or whatever is your holding timeline) bitcoin is likely to have prices that are higher than they are today, so in that sense that it is likely to be a good investment and profitable in the long term.

Buying on the dip is another dynamic that can be used to supplement DCA.. but it is not DCA...

No no JJG you got me wrong, I understand DCA and you explained this on WO like how many times? 465? Starting in 2014

So by now I think we on WO should know DCA like palm of our hand Tongue

Even I personally got some 1-1 JJG DCA Lectures

However since shahzadafzal didn't answer my proposal for a bet yet, I was hesitant to poke the next guy with a bet, as I'm by no means a betting person and I didn't want to come off as one...

That was a bet? I mean that was just a sarcastic smiley.. look..

Regardless of who you support, I think we can all agree (except for the odd alpaca) that BTC should have made a new ATH by the latter. Smiley
First Quarter of 2023
wanna bet some BTCSmiley

I mean I could take it like you meant... it will be ATH even before first quarter of 2023.

Btw since BitcoinBunny mentioned alpaca aka llama, I was poking this singing llama with that comment Cheesy
