That's fine I'm watching it now.
He has confirmed he is not going to release the amount bid. Says he is not concerned about price fluctuations as he is not a trader and he is in it for the long term investment. Wants to put the coins to good use and allow the coins to proliferate.
Good man, I'm seeing eye to eye with that philosophy. This guy could be a trillionaire at some point.

WTF is this? ".. you know, there are clever entrepeneurs, speeding up the blockchain artificially"...
The stream keeps cutting out so I'm not getting the full picture here.
Have these guys got any clue what they're doing? Did they say what their business plan is?

The guy from Vaurum says Brazil is one of their prime targets. They're coming to get you, Jorge! Brazil will be assimilated... Why don they try to sell their crap in the US or Europe, where the real money is? Why, hun? They wish to offer services in underserved venues, where margin competition is less. This is a reasonable strategy, and generally beneficial.

The field was most level when our weapons were hands, feet, and teeth. It has become steadily more uneven since then: the guys with more money generally have the best defenses and deadliest weapons, and technological advances have only amplified the difference.
No. It might have been nearly level between young, fit men but age a bit, get sick or be a child or female and you start getting power imbalance. This species of primate used to live in families and small groups where old and children were protected; fights were limited by instinct, etc. There were few things to fight about, and no band would try to "own" everything or enslave other groups, because it simply did not make physical sense. So, by and large, no group was much better off than any other. Ain't that "just so"... Stories about primitive humanity are usually used to explain current behavior, and in my mind rely on a whole lot of guesstimating and extrapolation. It's more a reflection of one's world view than anything grounded in reality as far as I am concerned. Even worse are claims about "how things happen in nature", where anybody with real knowledge can almost always provide countexamples.

Their plan is to make payment gateways for countries with high deflationary FIAT currencies, like Argentina. They've talked also about Africa, Latin-America (Mexico), and Asia.
Good promise, but I couldn't understand how exactly are they going to do it. Or when. They've talked about Bitpagos as an example, but are they going to buy it, or only work with them?
Not too many answers and a lot of questions after this press release. They haven't answer the mother of all questions, how much did they pay for the BTC. Only "more than the others, hahahaha" ¬¬

Obviously the auction price is unimportant now. It's no big deal that he didn't disclose it. He did make it clear why the coins were bought. Building infrastructure is bullish for Bitcoin in the long run.

Seems like good news Anybody with common sense can see that. Draper is the best thing to happen to Bitcoin in some time. If you watched his press conference, that's obvious.

Building infrastructure is bullish for Bitcoin in the long run. I really don't see how the price matters anymore. It's some weird obession that got way bigger than it should be. I bet though that if it turns out to be quite low people would still panic and dump. Probably even a month from now.
