The house can always see the hole cards of all players on the table because the poker software allows so. There is no need to employ any bots whatsoever. I have heard before about casino staff colluding with normal players pocketing the profit. But this is illegal and will get anyone fired or worse sued.

Impossible for many reasons.

First, the only bot that's ever been programmed in this sophisticated a way is a HU bot.  Even the owners of the bot said that to have it play 3 handed would be a massive undertaking that they aren't interested in doing because the game trees are far far far more complex. 

Secondly, the computing power needed to run the bot is so massive and takes so long to come to some decisions that it can't really be used in online play.

I don't know. If it's on a fair way, like they don't know our cards of course, I could try it, but it would probably be unfair, since they would have access to all our stats, so they would pretty much be capable of doing the best profitable move long term every time. No wonder they beat the pros.
The best thing about that in my opinion, is that is proves that poker is a game of skill and no just pure luck. If you can make the hand the most profitable way every time, you will win long term.

I'm talking about the Future.Technology won't stop at HU bot.With automation and such,I doubt it is as difficult.

playing poker against the house or even other players or looking like players online will always have so many problems with fairness because there is no proof for the hands and there is absolutely no proof to know whether others know our hand or not.

playing against a powerful AI is the least of our worries in my opinion and that is one of the reasons why i never liked online poker games despite loving the game itself in real life.

besides, poker is a game of reading your opponent and playing him not so much playing the game itself. hence the word "pokerface"

in my first thing that i can think is the bitcoin gambling sites will win in every games and the gambling don't have any chance to win the games at all. every gamblers will be get loss all of their money with the bots and the gambling sites will getting rich and they will have much of bitcoin in their wallet.

but since i don't know how to play poker, i think i will not playing this games, i think better to playing another games that maybe i can play even i can play with good. at least, i know the games and i know how to play the games.

Jackpots for the house indeed because even those professional or the most best poker players have been beaten then how much more on us casual or average players? We don't have stand a chance on winning on those games.I wont mind if that gambling site does offer that because its really much better to do pvp on poker.

Jimmy Chou was down $130k inside a match, I hope that he wasn't playing with real money.

As far as I know with Artificial Intelligence computer match playing, it is easy to cheat when playing against an AI computer when playing chess (Person secretly uses a computer while he/she manually moves the chess pieces against the computer in hard mode) -playing with an AI computer via Poker is weird, there isn't much tells with the computer unless they glitch.

That's why I've said that in playing on online poker does not require the skill, but luck and it all will be in vain when you are against bots because you will definitely lose and in online you never know against other player or bot.

very interesting concept, unfortunately i couldn't watch the video since i do not have access to youtube from here but i read some stuff about it anyways.

we have all been hearing about counting cards, and also the famous poker face thing that it was mentioned above but in the end we are all human and pruned to errors. so when a soulless machine comes in without the emotions and with a strong logic behind it, even if that only eliminates the emotions part i think that would be a very tough thing to beat!

so yeah, i don't think there is such AI bots yet that are strong enough but with a strong programming i think it can be done, and it may even kill online poker except if it is done p2p and properly.

I do believe that most of Poker sites have a lot of powerful bots in place to make sure the house always has an advantage. Even the are normal bots they will give a big edge against the player and house will surely increase their profits. So, I do think that most online gambling sites are pledged with this sort of software in order to make them profit even more

No gambling house would create a business without ensuring that they would able to make profits no matter what and seeing on this poker game versus an artificial intelligence then I think it would be very hard to beat up since we all know that they can be programmed to make advantage among the player.
