Specifically the model GV-R795WF3-3GD. If so, what speeds, and temps are you seeing. I am looking into these for a 3x rig for LTC. Thanks.

Yes I was reading some of the OCing forums, someone ran some tests with that voltage the VRMs got toasty hot.

No issues leaving the voltage at 1.250 on several of these cards for me
Getting 640khash with 1100/1350 at 70c constant
Get 595 Mhash when I switch them to BTC 1150/1100 67c constant

I have one . It's a great card IMHO. I haven't needed to boost voltage and they are running fine. The cooler design makes it really effective to put another fan if needed on top of the card . Not to mention mine came with a free Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider.

I found a way to modify bios for gigabyte 7950 FW*/FZ* and etc firmware, voltage can be unlocked for all 1000/1250 cards. If interested PM me.

you changed the voltage on a voltage locked one? do you have cards with 2x 8pin PCIe or 1x8pin + 1x 6pin?

I run two of these, one at 650 and the other at 620, I get the higher rate in slot number 1, it's weird whatever card I put in that slot always gets mean hash, like my 6770 gets 215 vs 200.
And yeah how to unlock the voltage dude?

I tried the newer 8+6 pin ones and they were decent for LTC but sucked compared to the Sapphire Dual-X for BTC mining.

Well, I've got a Gigabyte HD 7950 R2 up and running now at about 450 Kh/s at Intensity 15 and 77C (inside a case with the cover off.) 15 just makes it so the computer is still usable during the day, at night I set it up to 20.
it also runs at 550 kh/s with intensity 20, but then it runs at about 81C.
running at 900mhz processor / 1250mhz memory with the F43 bios (1.09v)
Lots of people are reporting temperatures of around 65 for when it is running full out... would putting this thing in an open rig (like a milk crate as lots of people have been doing) really bring it down another 15C when running at intensity 20?

temp values are useless if you don't post your fan speed, ambient temperature, and if you are using risers or fans blowing directly at it.

fan speed: 85% (3700 rpm) ambient temp: 25c no risers, no external fans.

I won't patch bios for free. But you can do it by yourself absolutely free, dump bios and remove voltage lock. Simple. Warning: If you screw up something you get brick, so be prepared to restore card from "brick" state. Note: For new gigabyte cards flashing bios from another "unlocked" series won't help you - your card turns to brick, you must patch bios of same series. FW->FW, FZ->FZ and so on.
