You can get a maximum of fourteen (14) activity points for a given activity period (which lasts two weeks). Your posts' count simply matches the number of messages you post.

I'm glad that this thread exists because I've been uncertain about how to progress in rank for the past two months.

It's nothing to be ashamed of, I think everybody is unsure about when/how you get to the next member level when they first join the forum.

After reading these terms, i hope my activity will start growup next week.

So would it not be a good estimate that on March 1st, my activity should have increased by 14? That would be the 15th day, which would have put me at a Junior Member. Its March 2nd, and still a newbie. Am I missing something with the activity? Maybe a 28 day month has something to do with it?

I have to edit it now, but it just changed. So it may have had something to do with the 28 day month, that I'm quite unsure, but I has updated today which is 16th day.

Your activity updates once you post a message when the new activity period starts. Your before last message was on Feb the 27^th (the new activity period hadn't started yet at that time). You triggered your activity update with the message you last posted today. As you noticed, your activity updated once you posted that message.

You was not here on this forum for 2 years just because of this your rank is still Full Member if you spend this time here then surely you have rank of Legendary Member

i'm starting to notice in the threads that i frequent the majority of posters are legendary.
might be an idea to make new levels of legendary as in
junior legendary
full legendary
senior legendary
hero legendary

etc.... you get the idea

This idea is good its the same with members they are categorize accordingly..maybe this is applicable to legendary rank

Everything makes sense to me now! Initially I saw my account increase with each posts & all of a sudden it got stuck at 56 regardless of my additional posts. I got frustrated & almost quit as it still paused at 56.
Finally I decided to research the reason & end up on this page.
Now I can go back to posting again after knowing how things work.

Not a week, it's 2 weeks. You won't be able to get more than 14 activity(s) in 2 weeks, but yeah technically sayin' you can't get more than 14 activity in a week.

It took awhile, but I'm not too sure if it really means anything other than I've been around here long enough.

Well, that, and while ranking up the signature restrictions will decrease which will allow you to place more styles, colors, sizes in your signature and that's why the higher your rank is, the more valuable your account is because signature campaigns pays based on the visibility of the signature placed in your profile.
