Why is that I got 4 activity forums in less than an hour? I thought that the terms and condition was 1 activity forum for every day? I was confused, please someone clarify it.  Thanks!

The activity update happens every hour and you only gain a maximum of 14 activity per two weeks. If you post 15 posts today for example, you will stop at 14 activity until the next activity reset and If you post one post each day during the 2 weeks period then you will end up with the same results.

You are right. Being patient is very important. Limit of 14 activity posts is a great feature which prevents from  creating multiple accounts which would be used for earning a fortune from signature campaigns.
It takes more than 28 days to become a Junior Member which can join a signature campaign for example. But remember that you have to post at least once when every 2 week period begins. Otherwise your activity points are lost.

The only bit you are missing is that it only takes one post in any 14 day period for that period to be considered active. Then if later on you make more posts your activity will increase up to a maximum of 14 for each period you were active. So there is need to post too much when you start out, just make sure you post at least once every 2 weeks.

No, it is not. Only post if you have something constructive to say or you may get banned or tagged as a spammer.

Sometimes everyone just wants to keep it simple and comment only "+1" as a sign of support. You say that those kinds of comments can get you banned?

Only if all of their posts are like that. A lot of people build up rankings to sell accounts for use in signature campaigns. If it is obvious that someone is just spamming to do that then they might get left negative trust or get added to the SMAS Blacklist. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1545652.0

No. This has been discussed and answered numerous times. It wouldn't be fair to the original donators to lower the amount but new ranks pegged to fiat values have been suggested.

Somewhat confused about the formula for calculating activity.

For example,


If someone makes 200 posts in the first 14 days what is their activity?
If they then make another 200 posts in their second 14 day period, what is their final activity?

Appreciate the clarification.

It increase as long as you have enough posts (with a maximum of 14 per week) and the length, the section etc. of posts doesn't really matter. (don't make use this as an excuse to spam though)

Thanks for the info but I'm more than 4 months , if it is 28 activity for a month my activity count should be 112 instead of 84. But maybe I should just wait

It doesn't continue to increase from the day you register, you must be active on the forums. If you skip (don't login/post) a 2 week activity reset period then there is no way to get it back and I believe that's what happened to you.
