MtGox - AUD -> USD?

Hey. Aussie here, deposited to MtGox using local bank deposit, and as a result obviously my funds were put in as AUD. The AUD exchange seems pretty dead though, and I was hoping to convert my money to USD. Is there any way to do this on MtGox?

never mind figured it out.

For the benefit of others - No direct way to convert, but go into preferences and change your "main currency" to USD. This will give you a USD and AUD option in the wallet after you've logged out and logged back in.

From there you need to purchase BTC in AUD, change your wallet to USD and sell the bitcoins in USD.

Obviously you cop a 0.6% fee each way in doing so.

In addition to the spread on each.  Though sometimes you can actually make a profit converting your AUD balance to USD ... just depends on what the order book looks like.
