Hey dev, a few questions for the fundraiser,

1. When participating in the fundraiser, would 'MyEtherWallet CX' work or do I have to have full block synced like 'mist'?

2. It seems like there is one public ETH address on the website that you collect all the fund.. How do you give the right amount of token to the right person? (perhaps, I'm just too familiar with a dashboard style)

Thanks  Smiley

The value of the BNT after ICO will depend on three main unknowns:

- How much BNT will be required as reserve for smart tokens created through the Bancor platform before the monthly fee is waived
- How high the monthly fee will be for smart tokens created using the Bancor platform
- How the CRR of the BNT will be changed after the ICO

And of course general adoption but that is anybody's guess right now anyway.

What monthly fee?

1) MyEtherWallet works

2) The smart contract sends BNT to the address the ETH came from

Will Bancor have a separate wallet for distribution? or will we need to provide an Eth address?   Tongue

The BNT will be sent to the address you sent the ETH from.

Its so different than bancor.
Can you use omega to trade low volume & liquidity community token ?
Omega rely on exchanges.

OMEGA-who? It might be a good solution but I don't think that you can even compare it with Bancor. The beauty of Bencor is that it cuts the middleman and, for the first time, allows direct convertion to/with a/the smart contrat (...... Bancor smart token). It is first-to-market and its revolutionery. Besides, the combination of the Bancor solution and the team will surely prevail.

Think about it, why would I want to pay an exchange if I have a FOC solution?

How will it prevail if it yet to be unveiled - there is nothing there, yet!

Hey

I am new to ICO topic, and have a few questions:

1. How much GAS should I put in the transfer of 1 ETH?

2. What if I transferred ETH form myetherwallat.com to BANCOR  address, and by the time they got the ETH, Bancor had already raised the entire 260M dollars. Will I accept the BNT tokens in return for the ETH I transferred? Will Bancor keep the amount I transferred as a donation without giving me the tokens? Will they give me back my Eth?

Thanks

1. Token creation cost lots of gas. Put it at 200K, and you should be fine. Unless they have put a recommendation for more somewhere..

2. The smart contract won't allow any creation after the cap has reached. Your transfer won't go through, but you might loose the gas.

Hope this helps, good luck

Did they announce a 250mln cap? Or are you guessing?

Someone was shouting on page 71, see below - I thought this is official now

"I think we need to use big red letters for the devs to actually answer this question.

Why have you decided on capping the ICO at 260 million dollars?

It is right there in the contract. And it is too high. Since you are selling only 50% coins in that presale, that would make the market cap of Bancor at 520 million dollars. You can arbitralily chose the hard cap and set it to 50 million or 150 million, so why do you want to set it at exactly 250 million dollars and not lower despite the community asks you to do so? Many people were rising this question and the team denies to answer it. Why do you want 260 million dollars? And if you don't wan't that much, why do you avoid capping the ICO lower?"

1. They also published to put 200000 gas for 1 Eth
https://blog.bancor.network/how-to-contribute-to-the-bancor-protocol-fundraiser-4306654a1a08

2. So if the cap has reached, Will i get my eth back without the gas?

Thanks

Bancor will require a monthly fee for users that opt out of BNT as a reserve in their smart tokens. Details unclear as of now.

Hey guys, first post here Smiley

I'm trying to figure out what the roi and break even point is for early investors/contributors.

Is the following correct?
Ico lasting time = Minimum: 1 hour, Maximum: $250m / 14 days.
50% token release for early investors/contributors, 20% free as promotion and partnerships rewards, 10% for team, 20% team reserve (company).
Max $250m. 1 Eth ~= $250 (let's assume and work with this value as of this example). 1 Eth => 100 Bancor (BNT) tokens. Thus:
1 BNT = $250/100 Eth = $2,50
$250m/Eth($250) = 100m Eth => 100m Eth * 100 BNT = 10b BNT.
Circulating supply = 50% * 10b BNT = 5b
Total supply = 10b
Break-even profit point per BNT = > ($5 + total preceding costs).

If the break-even profit point is say $5,50, is it even worth to invest in this ico? I mean, 10 billion tokens is way too much for the given price of 1 BNT for 0,01 ETH.
That's only 50% of the total supply, thus for 5b BNT. I don't think huge gains can be made when hit on the exchanges due to two forementioned points, while still carrying a high risk.

Please enlighten me further, thank you.

Nvm, what I suspected was right. This isn't the investment for me, having read the white paper. The price volatility will be even much lower than Ripple (due to CRR), if you're lucky, your roi will be a very long term hold with little gain, while carrying high risk.
Now I understand why they never wanted to officialy publish the total supply. If the CEO carries responsbility over to Ethereum (instead of their product) for a win-win scenario, I know enough. Off I go.

i do not know how you guys made that equation. the price at the end of the ico will be like in your example 1ETH=250$, at exact price as you have bought it ..100BNT for 1ETH =>1 BNT=2,5 $
