Oh boy, looks like this coin was made to infect or the windows compiler had different plans.

Inital scan results that increase after a few days indicates it is more than likely a virus or trojan.

I've been running it since day 1 and haven't seen anything odd.  I'll run it tomorrow on another computer in a sandbox and report back on the sandbox contents.

Did you compile yourself or are using the provided windows wallet ?

I imported the registry hive that was created in my sandbox as "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\RegHive" and meticulously searched for anything that was related to more than just the sandbox.  I've done this many times and am familiar with what Sandboxie creates regardless of what I'm running.

Registry Entries Created/Modified by geertcoin-qt.exe:

That's everything I found.  I realize this isn't conclusive, but at least we know it's not installing a rootkit or other discrete malicious file.  I'm perfectly comfortable running it.

It is comforting to know that at lease a few of the new coins in release are clean and safe to run, on the fact of its worth or not i would have to say that this coin is on the same level as all the other political coins! no more and no less! and unless this person does win the election it would make no difference to anyone either to invest or not and even if this person did win the election it would certainly not make a global difference while only those that would be governed by him would reap benefit if with the same beliefs. gosh all that for a political coin???
