There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I wrote that once they go for buybacks it is game over... for dumpers Cheesy hahahahahhaa....
okay if price of ICN inflate to 500m$ market cap it will be hard to pump guys.

And now your wet dream of Polo MEGA pump comes true no dividend token no problems with listing everywhere and with regulators too.
BUYback are HOT. Investors loves buybacks.

i think that Buyback are better for your return at end.
Dividends would hurt ICN market with liqudity if you go fo closer look.
when dividend comes all moves ICN from exchange couse problems...
AND exchanges as the one who CONTRIBIUTED "WHOLE 0" eats vast of profits.
I uderstand your pain but i think that will be better option for REAL investors at end.

And everyone applauding the buyback idea let me share some of my experience with buybacks:

OBITS

They buyback and burn every month from generated revenue.

Start Nov '15: $0.14 per OBIT
March, 28 '17: $0.08 per OBIT

after 1 1/2 years of buyback & burn.

OBITS price at the end of buyback was $0.105 (10.5 cents)

I can add you one thing we have now about 5000 users (3000 on ICONOMI site)
imagine that cost of sending weekly dividends is RISING:
5000x0,05$ (0.001f ETH) = 250$ burned weekly if people will keep multiple accounts it will be much more costly.
if ETH rise 5x more cost will be 2500$  and INVETORS lose that value/money.

Buyback is most efficient way to distrybiute wealth.

I always told people here to be aware of dumping because ICONOMI can go with buyback and dumped will be end without pants Cheesy

PS: This is great way to avoid rising costs of  ETH dividend sending. / just think about it.

Your argument is that one buyback program failed in the past, therefore all buyback programs will fail is a weak argument. There are dozens of different variables to consider as well.

Haven't you notices they they will do buybacks insted of dividends Cheesy Huh? ALL INCOME GOES TO ICN VALUE...
they have about 8000BTC to make ICN pump now...
Just think criticaly about it 60000sat is low BRO really.
THEY WILL BLOW HERE at least 8000BTC from ICO + profits so i don think that 60k is pump.
Pump you will see soon. Smiley

It looks good. I'm gonna site back and watch the marketcap goes more than 60Million in the next days. If I have the money I would really be enjoying watching the charts and my money grow. If bitcoin grows along with the splitted blockchain, ICN should also grow.  Congratulation team.

Well I have been holding ICN for quite some time, but after these news, there is simply no incentive to hold ICN long term and now it's on its way to become another pump and dump (not coin) asset. Basically, after these news, it's not even an asset when I think about it.

Changing the fundamental characteristic of the entire business mid-flight is very very very bad sign. It was obvious from the beginning, that dividens might be problematic, but it took X months to figure it out? Nah. Also, what incentive is there for big investors now? Not much.

My opinion is shared here in the top voted comment - https://www.reddit.com/r/ICONOMI/comments/620clj/iconomi_introduces_repayment_programme/  It wasn't written by me, but I relate to it 100%.

Anyways, good luck to those of you still holding, there's plenty of money to be made for sure, but there are better opportunities out there, especially now with bear market. I may regret this eventually, but at the moment I believe it's a correct decision.

Good luck all of you!

Agreed. I've had enough of these jokers not sticking to what they say, and constantly changing fundamental parts of the business.

I see no reason to applaud this move. If people around here see it is a positive change, then I'm happy for them, and wish you all luck.

Personally, I don't like being dicked around this much, and I see this as my exit point.

As Nargil says, there's still money to be made, but I'll be taking my money elsewhere. I've made some profit on ICN, so it's all good.

I might buy some ICNX if/when the platform goes live, of course.

Good luck everyone!

Bad news to those who will or did not get on board in time, this shuttle is reaching ESCAPE VELOCITY as I write this message, that means there is no way to get back to earth anymore, those old time where you could buy 1 ICN below 100$ are gone.

Game Over, Thank You very much my friends.

Congratulations to hodlers and supporters.

Many people are not online and their sell walls are going down incredibly quickly, very sad, I can feel their pain as they go back online to read what is going on.
And this beautiful 2 pizzas car, from yesterday, would be a ferrari in two weeks, my sincere condolences...

Sigh.  I think you are right.

Good luck everyone!

There is few reasons:
1) to pay weekly dividends you need pay HIGH FEE like 50 ETH today it will rise with eth price
2) paying dividends you send money to lost accounts too
3) paying dividends you send money to exchanges BIG money for NOTHING it hurts investors
4) legal problems with paying dividends
5) someday exchange want delist token because law can change in favor classic tokens like in JAPAN there you can not trade "company share tokens"
6) weekly dividends would HURT market with loosing liquidity / traders would avoid playing with ICN
7) with buybacks more MONEY will add value to ICN price than just dividends no profit is lost.
8 ) ICN go for POLO now..
9) 8000BTC+ will be directly invested into ICN

Of course there are "-" too.

PS: Which token you would keep dividend or buyback ? Buyback one will have higher value IMO

We cannot tell whether this move is good or no, because this move is in favour of ICN only but for holders they wont get dividend if they plan to cancell it in future.

Polo it is! Once its listed on polo, the volume will be much more than what it has in liqui and kraken roll to one. The higher its chances to have a value of more than $2 each ICN

Buyback gives more + for ICN holders/investors because you not waste any money to lost ICN dead accounts, you avoid paying dividends to exchanges, you avoid paying high ETH fees, you give reat reason for investors to buy ICNs. Buyback is most efficient way to distribute  wealth.

If holders want to cancel in future. They just have to sell their coins and take the profits. Burned coins will make the market vlaue higher for remaining ones
