Seen in polo trollbox...

Just for fun guys, don't take it seriously  Cool

Edit : sorry, I can't post full size image there, maybe someone can repost it better ?

Almost true.. they just need to replace the word Iconomi with the word Waves  Wink

And Polo getting crushed for whatever reason is good for Iconomi  Grin

Who knows what could be next biggest exchange. I remember two three years back Polo didn't have the volume that liqui has now.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Polo for all their faults seems pretty decent to me. Fairly fast verification (until tier 4 then slow - still waiting), the few deposits/withdrawals have been quick, they allow you to lend unlike kraken, their platform is pretty clean. Its only been unreliable for maybe 2 hours of the 600 odd used. Cityindex and other "regular market" platforms have just the same issues when vol spikes. 3 weeks after uploading docs to kraken I am still waiting (pre-authorised approval, which allows nothing!). It was under 24 hrs with polo.

The listings/de-listings do seem suspect but are any other exchanges better? Is it just the volume and no. of holders that highlights it?

Basically why the hating on Polo? I am curious.

polo delisting good coins and not adding the best ones out in the market. its a reason already not to trade to such exchange. besides, we need more exchanges that offers fiat gateway like those on top like kraken and changely.

Is it true that Iconomi week make its own exchange?

Doesn't it have an undisclosed partnership with Kraken  for all the trades?

Currently Iconomi just has a service like shape shift for buying Ethereum with Euros.

Listings and delistings at Polo bother me. I assume it has to deal with insider trading at Polo. We will have a new exchange in one or two years that should overtake Polo in volume. My guess is that could be a decentralized exchange. Waves platform looks good for trading. May be they add other coins?
I love bittrex as a means of adding coins. Why ICN not on Bittrex? I am sure they would love to add ICN in the future. But I think Jani doesn't want to list on bittrex yet. The GUI of bittrex sucks. If not, they would have been no.1 by now.

There were some theories that polo was behind some of the FUD campaigns against ICONOMI, being that the iconomi platform might take away some of their business. Other than that poloniex is a semi ok exchange with huge problems like ultra slow support for example. They have never been there for me when I've needed them and rarely have they been helpful at all.

That just sounds conspiracy-theory talk to me. Any proof? Poloniex is doing volumes around half a billion dollars. You really think they are going to be threatened by Iconomi's non-existent exchange? I am sure ICN can stand on its own merits, and doesn't need Poloniex's help to succeed, especially after the buybacks begin to get reported by the team.

FFS- even a scam like Humaniq will be trading on Bittrex: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-HMQ

It's not like ICONOMI are exactly lacking some BTC to pay Bittrex to list them.

Come on Jani.

We know you are on good terms with Bittrex Bill.

Get ICN listed

Lets consider a hypothetical situation where no token holder sell his ICN.All of them decide not to sell and there won't be a single icn for sell on any exchange,In such a situation how will ICONOMI buyback and what will happen to funds not utilize on buyback?

Oh the website have change little: https://www.iconomi.net/

Took the word "early" out  of "Coming early 2017" Roll Eyes

What's this I hear about cofound.it buying out Cashila with 20% of their tokens?

Do we still believe this venture was a brand new idea, and Yan & Dan just wanted to go their own way? (Despite Tim registering the domain in October, of course)

20% is a pretty big share in cofound.it. Even bigger than the >13% the team have in Iconomi (which also holds an additional 10% of cofound.it)

The plot thickens!

I enjoy hypotheticals.

It would never happen but, if it did, Iconomi just wouldn't be buying back - as nobody is selling. The funds would go up on exchanges as buy orders, but there'd be no takers. The exchange would de-list it due to zero volume, I guess?

While listed, a seller would most certainly attempt to capitalise on the demand - at which point, the market would react, and the bid/ask cycle would resume until ICN reaches a reasonable value again. Iconomi stated they would place orders below last price - which means you can't just put 1 ICN up for $50,000 and have it filled, just because you're the only seller.

If your hypothetical scenario played out long-term... they have no reason to care, or change anything. The profits will just mount up, without being "distributed". But it can't play out - because the market will always respond in some way. The 'market' knows that if every single person holds, there's no liquidity, and thus no discernible value. People want returns, so the market continues.

Not bad? It dropped 23 places in a fucking month, that's 23 coins that boomed, with most of them having a fraction or 0 budget of what the ICN team has.
Not bad, exactly, FUCKING TERRIBLE!

Not getting listed on Polo or even Bittrex was a major FUCKUP on their part.
How fucking stupid can you be not to list your coin in the Nasdaq and Dow Jones of cryptos?
