All coins are slowly diving at the moment, that's a fact - also VIA. I would not buy back in before around half of current price... at max. Not that I say this coin has potential, it's just that everyone are watching what'll happen to BTC. Staying 50% in FIAT is a better alternative than putting your money in some random volatile overpriced coins at the moment. I still haven't sold all my VIA's since there may be someone out there trying to fight the forces. Let's wait a few months until the BTC-hype is over and then get back into business

It will start going up at some point....Bitcoin starts( Segwit deployment) on the 14th. Someone will drive it up and down until then. If Via starts Segwit (around the same time) Bitcoin  should help it ride the hype train.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/countdown-segwit-these-are-dates-keep-eye/   Or just google( dates btc to keep an eye on) Its come soon...prices might go up after this date.

Just bought myself a nice additional amount of VIA. It might dip further, but it will surely be worth much more by somewhere in November.

Not really a good time to release. Maybe in a few days...but I could be wrong. Things are a little crazy with altcoins.

I believe the bottom line has been reached today.
I hope the debugging will finish soon and am glad that romanornr got support in developing VIA. That's great news!

Be cautious as the BTC fork is underway and Tezos will probably also be looking to sell their ETH contributions.

Tezos may sell BTC+ETH both, before segwit2x and UASF...

I think the problem is that many people start to doubt a bit the progress of the coin and you can see by the trades that many middle/bigger addresses are dumping VIA. There was a spike in development end of last year (2016). But in 2017 there was not much new things committed, you can check on github.
Then the Segwit chaos with multiple announcements that everything works and is ready just to find out that it needs a new developer and nearly double as many code changes as done in the months before to make it work. The new developer seems to bring a long needed new spirit into development but is he permanent or will he leave again after segwit and viacoin will go back into hibernation phase?
