I am in consideration to have a big purchase from the said user. However, he does not want to use an escrow though he claims he operates a large mining farm. Has anyone dealt with him before or know him reasonably well. Please comment. Thank you!

I have no idea how trustworthy he is, or if he is actually operating a large mining farm (although this should be fairly easy to verify), however I would say that dealing with him with no escrow will be very risky, especially if you are unable to independently verify some kind of reputation.

Chances are he wants to scam you.  With only 205 posts, it didn't take him very long to build the account, so he won't miss it when he gets painted red for a scam.

Use escrow, or don't deal with him.

You have the same activity as the person you are trying to trade with.

I don't know the value of what you are trading, but ask yourself if you would be willing to give up your account to get it for free.

Then think about what a person with no morals would do...

Have you checked his trust rating?if none are showing then he must prove that he is indeed the owner of that mining farm and if no higher level member of this forum can vouched for him, then better get an escrow or don't deal at all, there's no reason why he decline escrow, because it protect both of you.

the deal is 100 used S7's. may not be "big" to everyone but it definitely is to me.

and no to give up my account under any circumstances as long as I have control. I take pride and have ego in my account though it's crappy. It's a form of representation of who I am. I am not saying I have utmost morale but my ego is bigger than that for sure Grin Grin

i did look through his past posts. Most technical discussion, a few mentions that he owned tens of rigs. He was quite clear but also not known to the reputable members that I am familiar with. Thanks for your input. Can't argue when several legendary/hero members are all saying the same thing. Grin

no escrow, no deal. you don't throw your wallet at random strangers on the street, why should you do so online. Ask him to go first, i doubt he will do that...
