If world war 3 breaks out i think that the last thing you will be worrying about is wither your bitcoin have increased in price, more than likely after the nuclear fallout settles you will be worrying about wither or not your kids have clean water.

sure but cash need internet too, because they need to account how many coin you have in your bank account, and to do this they need connection, you can't just go to the nearest atm and take your cash, cash would be just paper without value if internet go down pretty much like everything else, gold would be a choice, but it's not easy to carry around a great amount of money with gold

I suppose you have never owned gold, gold is very easy to carry around that is why it was chosen as money by almost any civilization in the world, you can carry hundreds of thousands of dollars in your pockets.

First of all, I always think WW3 would be Advance and Artificial Intelligence War. Meaning smart computers will fight for us and they will run big logical data processors to identify enemies threat. To get this done of course all nations will build Artificial intelligence and computers with ability to decide Who What Where logic! To keep up in the War they will have to keep the electricity alive all the time. Man might build huge sources of power in coming future to run the smart CPU. I believe bitcoin price won't go down but it will come up! If government builds an agenda which is more futuristic then they will think of money which will be first need to rebuild the abolished nation. Paper/hard cash would have been thrown already, burnt for heat sources and people will try to stay alive and not try to get money in such period.

So if at one side people are throwing and are disinterested in hard money and on the other hand side government is validating Bitcoin/cryptocurrency as powerful source to build nation then it's price might come up like never before.

However, statements are again misleading as there will not be any hard cash and no defined standard currency then price of bitcoin will be decided how? For example, today we know bitcoin is very valuable as BTC = $ 1200! But, what in futrue when hard cash won't be there? BTC = BTC = Neutral price.

But in regards to Bitcoin, reports have shown that the negative effects of war on economy include increased public debt, increased levels of taxation and inflation. This will affect again the volatility of Bitcoin. It can be more expensive vice versa. The problem is that the effects of military spending are not productive when compared to the economic needs of these other areas. So, I think it won't happen

Just think about what the third world war means. It can generally bring destruction to every country and this means the lack of electricity and even the Internet. Thus, bitcoin can and will be expensive to build, but the demand will be in other values, material.

If World War 3 should break out, I dont expect any body to have time to think about what the price of bitcoin or any currency whatsoever to be. Because in the war of bio weapons, being in your house alone does not make you immune to the calamity of the war. So I expect that the world will go as much as 500 years backward in the case of world war as everything development would have been destroyed beyond repairs...

I don't think those will be "currency" because there's no other resource that's more important than shelter, food, and water. There's nothing to trade in exchange of them. Those are the only necessary things at the time of catastrophe. It's either people share those to each other or they fight/kill each other over those necessary stuffs.

Although I still doubt that when there's a war, the whole Internet will go down since there'll be countries that are too minor to be conquered by other countries. You know, countries that people don't care about. No resource, not much people, etc.

world war 3 will give a big impact for human and the economic as we know that many big power country has got new weapon without we know. beside that, if world war 3 break out, i think bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will not function because we all know that cryptocurrencies is depend with internet connection and without this, we can use bitcon to buy or sell. maybe we all will go back in the ancient age and there is only exchange goods with goods again.

Well there isn’t really much of a chance for a world war 3, i mean yeah sure there may be small wars in individual countries but i don’t think there will be much of a chance that a war that exceeds the magtitude of WWI or WWII, at least in the near future.

You have to realize that all currencies have no intrinsically.

If people are starving to death and they have no food, they don’t need any money. If that is the case, then obviously nobody will use any currency, let alone bitcoin.
