Call me paranoid / crazy but I just don't get the warm and fuzzies dropping my Eth private key in to a centralized web wallet when it contains other assets aside from Arc. Is there a point where we can redeem ARC for SWT via a smart contract we can send coins to? That would make me feel a lot better If that is the case I'll just wait for that, if not, I'll have to weight the risks to rewards...

It is not centralized as far as I know. Something like connecting gateways. But I don't have the tech knowledge on it.

It is understandable tho, because you just don't know how reliable it is, and new.

The keypair never leaves your device. Transactions are signed on your device and are sent - after being signed - to a ethereum node.

In the Swarm City Terninal, you also have a public key. So if you don't want to use your private key within the app, you can also just send your ARC to the public key in the wallet. Then the swap can still take place and you have brandnew SWT in the Swarm City Terminal.
