Maybe that's what they're counting on. Squeeze just so much as to make most people think "oh well, this loss is easier to swallow than going to the courts".
First 30% loss at least, now overpriced boards...
Yes but i find that a very very bad decision from a business point of view. He will have less new clients and old clients will buy the minimum that they can so they will sell just a few boards instead of selling in bigger numbers.

I don't think that we should be too hard on burnin for this. If you use a distributor then they will want to take their cut, which may be the problem here.
Still, at nearly 900 Euros per board (including VAT and shipping) I'm definitely out. It makes more sense to keep buying H-boards from bitfurystrikesback (unless burnin can really get 80 GH/s out of these).

where is the proof (demonstrated ) they mention on the site and we need to be convinced more as to how much hashing can be squeazed out of the bitburner fury boards, i mean how likely is 80ghs really? if it can be pulled off that would make it bearable.
awaiting reply from cryptx.

The cheapest option at Bitfurystrikesback is 6500€ for 400 GH/s We offer 512 Gh/s for 5499€

Yes but i find that a very very bad decision from a business point of view. He will have less new clients and old clients will buy the minimum that they can so they will sell just a few boards instead of selling in bigger numbers. Looks like greed took over. Besides, burnin hasn't said a thing about these new developments even though he's been reading the forum. I don't think that we should be too hard on burnin for this. If you use a distributor then they will want to take their cut, which may be the problem here.
There is "reasonable cut", and then there is this. 200 euros per board? ROFL. where is the proof (demonstrated ) they mention on the site and we need to be convinced more as to how much hashing can be squeazed out of the bitburner fury boards, i mean how likely is 80ghs really? if it can be pulled off that would make it bearable.
Even with 80 Ghash/s ROI is iffy. At 64 it starts to look zero sum at best. At 40, it's always a loss. Better count on the pessimistic side... Besides, there's no mention of overclocking versus warranty. Do we even _get_ a warranty? Besides 2: the heatsink costs 10 euros extra per board...

Do you include extra boards in the deal if the unit you deliver hashes at less than 512, like punin does? edit: You don't offer that speed at your site, you offer 320 GH/s – 640 GH/s. Where is the guarantee that the unit hashes at 512 at least? edit 2: If your unit actually hashes at only 320, the Bitfurystrikesback unit is _better_ than this deal. 320/400 = 0,8. 0,8 x 6500 = 5200.

I think if anybody can OC these things to the max then burnin can, but without evidence we can't take this into account when comparing products.

Don't you need an M-board in order to use the H-board?

So a NanoFury USB stick appears to be a better deal for US anyway.
0.4BTC for 2 gh/s = 0.2 BTC/Gh/s = 5 GH/s/BTC
or is my math wrong?

Does this still hold up, or did burnin decide to go back on his word and take the entire order as the calculation basis? The wording from the cryptx newsletter sounds a lot like this is the case. 50% Refund of your entire order by mid-October

Don't you need an M-board in order to use the H-board? Yes, you do indeed (unless you're a hardcore hacker and can whip up your own ). We have an M-board coming in October, so this is the calculation that matters for us. Obviously this wouldn't be the case for everybody, but cryptx jumped on my comment so quickly I felt it important to reply.

The 470eur was an early estimate, part costs increased as the design continued. I am not involved in the pricing of the BitBurner Fury units, i kept my margin reasonable as usual. I will speak to them if costs at their end can be cut.

yes but to add 229 € is a bit strange, and how come they state 40-80 GH/s, this is out of all logical scopes

Thanks Burnin, I understand that companies only exist to make money, but the difference between your estimations and the actual price is massive!

i had the chips running at 4ghash in my test setup. With a proper board more could be possible, more testing is needed. And like i said the actual costs did increase.

Burnin I really respect your hard work and amount of time and energy you puted from the start on developing, but with all due respect this is a total rip-off, they have to work out their prices for what is best for all parties, otherwise we are not going to do business with them

What about the 70% refund? It seems that cryptx will only pay 50%. You said you need some weeks to check your inventory to see what you can reuse, whats the status about that?
