Why do people become vegan?

I am not vegetarian but try to eat less meat. It's not because I don't like it, it's because I feel sorry for the animals. It seems to me that killing animals for food clothing could afford the Neanderthals, but not civilized people.

Just wondering, why do people become vegan. Is this because of health, ethics or something else?

I think that is the rule of religion .

Maybe because they are now suffering from severe disease and they don't have a choice but to eat only vegetables. Most of people took care of themselves when they are already in pain. People were used to eat what they want thinking that they are too young or strong that they won't be able to get sick. But the opposite happens. Most sick people are now at a young age.

I think it is because of their feelings for animals, so they cannot eat something that was walking before that. But on the other side if we look that way. plants are alive too, they are living things too.

Only reasonable reason for somebody to become vegan is health. In situation of some hard disease, like cancer, it is good for that person to become vegan.

All are individual. And everyone lives in this world in accordance with their vision of the situation. Now, mostly because of fashion, they refuse to eat meat.

It varies for any person, some just consider it as animal slaughter, some doesnt eat for religional beliefs, some just do it because being vegan and brag about it is COOL.

Because this makes them feel that they are GOOD. In fact, they are not really better because of that. Nothing against veganism, but it is not a diploma of goodness.

I believe the reason behind a lot of people becoming vegan is to take a stand against animal cruelty. When you watch videos on how we farm animals, you'll be disgusted because humanity have come to a point that we put animals' lives to our hands hence the term 'livestock'. Most of the big industries that provide us meat products are inhumane with how they kill animals for us consumers.

Im against animal cruelty but I believe there's a humane way to kill them. It's just how foodchain works. Predator eats prey.

Some cant eat meat because of their condition and some thinks eating animals is too cruel.

It is up to everybody. But I prefer the ethics side. This helps to avoid cruelty.
