Xapo or Coinbase are good wallets.

I don't agree because Xapo, Coinbase blockchain.info and all web wallets even they claim that are secure the bitcoin owner does not really has the control of his bitcoin because he doesn't own the private keys. All of these are very easy and handy especially for newbies and for a bitcoin fraction but a desktop solution or a hardware wallet is the most indicated solution.
If you want to spend your bitcoins, you can choose Xapo or other web wallets that can give you debit card. Xapo has a dedicated card that is linked to the web wallet and you can spend your bitcoins easily, like if you are using your normal bank card in shops or you can withdraw cash from ATMs (but it's a bit pricey, shopping is free on POS terminals)
Because XAPO doesn't provide you the private key, you should keep the most of your coins in a paper or hardware wallet and only transfer a little bit of them into the XAPO wallet to spend.
You can find other wallets that offers debit card but don't choose prepaid type cards because it's not convinient to use them on the long run.

The convination of owning a full node + a couple of paper wallets as backups is the best option in my book.

So get bitcoin core 0.13.2 or whatever version is the latest when you read this message, and make some wallet.dat backups, and some paper wallet backups, that is for long term storage.
Why do you need to install the core if he is planning to store coins. You do not need a full node for storing coins and since he is a new user it would be wise for him to start using web wallets and then start with a light weight wallet rather than advising bitcoin core. Cheesy If you are planning to store a large amount of coins then paper wallet is a good option. You can also check out hardware wallets which is available in the market.

desktop wallet will be very safe. but the problem is in the flexibility of using the wallet. you must constantly bring your laptop if you want to use the wallet and transaction. different from using an online wallet

Hello guys, I'm new to bitcoin, so there are things that I misunderstand.
I have a big interest in bitcoin, in the future, I want to make money with and invest in bitcoin. So I really need your advice.
1) Which wallet should I choose to keep btc? There are so many choices so that confuse me. I know about Electrum, Blockchain, Coinbase,... Does it secure?
2) I need to make money by myself before I invest them, so how can I do to make some bitcoin?

Thanks for your help.  Smiley

SPV wallet such as electrum is really secure for you.

Go to the service section and find the correct job for you. or try to mine altcoin and sell them for bitcoin or mine the bitcoin for directly.

Thank you for your all advices! I am very appreciated.
After your recommendations, I decide to use Electrum since I am the guy who uses laptop everyday and I am not fullly-trusted in online wallet. But I also make alternative online wallet for my exchanges.

Thank you.

I think you just need to add authentication for online wallet. then it will be very safe online wallet to store a lot of your bitcoin. maybe you can use authentication like smsverify or google auth

You can use paper wallets because it is safe and it is easy to manage since its physical and offline where you can store a lot of bitcoin and you don't have to worry about those hackers who are gonna steal your money in bitcoins. You just need a nice printer whose can print a high quality and also a nice durable paper so even you put it in a bag it doesn't break easily.

Well if you really are interested in Bitcoin, how much Bitcoin are you actually going to buy? And are you going to use that daily, monthly or just store it for a long time? If you are willing to spend money on a Bitcoin wallet, then you should probably buy a hardware wallet. It would also mean that you can use your Bitcoin daily or whenever you want. If you aren't willing to spend money, then you should stick with a software wallet like electrum which is probably the second most secure wallet. If you are only going to store a little bit of Bitcoin, then a online wallet like Coinbase will be perfectly fine.

Personally i used an mobile application wallet called coin.ph where you can convert bitcoin, pay bills or even buy some load. Its a multipurpose wallet in short. You can do many transactioin here. It doesnt matter how big or how small you gonna cash in it depends on your choice. I hope you have a time to try this application. You could also try blockchain especially when you do gambling. But i suggest stop gambling and try to do signature campaign here in forum.

For huge amount of btc web wallet is not recommended because there is a chance you account locked one day like  coins.ph. I hear people complaining about thier account locked for some reason.because it's already regulated now by the government you need to follow the term and conditions if you don't want to get account locked and BTC gone. But I also use web wallet for fee purposes just always remember the risk using it and it's fine. Smiley

I was suggested by friends to use blockchain wallet. I too started using it and haven't encountered any problem using it. As the amount held into the wallet is very low, I don't make big efforts to find which is better.

if you use a password combinations and enable 2FA I think it's safe, I suggest using a wallet that has additional security features like xapo. although still no one is safe as long as in the virtual world .... pull real..terus put it under the pillow Cheesy

Bitcoin has a built-in bank vault in place called private key which is a vault and a key at the same time, don't use any software or services to handle your money, remember there is no need for a software or program to keep bitcoins safe.

I agree with you. Blockchain for me is the most secured wallet as it enbles 2fa and code though number verification at the same time. Many wallets doesn't have that feature which makes blockchain unique and secured. Although unlike other btc wallet which doesn't charge fee for every transaction, blockchain charges fee but you can assure that transaction is anonymous and secured.(worth it to pay for fee).
