I used a low fee and now after 2 days, blockchain tells me Transaction rejected by our node.

The bitcoins in my electrum wallet show they are unconfirmed. The address they were being sent to is no longer accepting coins.

How can I remove the rejected transaction so I can spend my BTC?
Will electrum at some point let me access these bitcoins?

First thing's first, could you post the transaction ID so we can have a look at it? That will remove the need for any assumptions and wrong information.

Afaik once it got rejected by the node it should come back to your wallet. Have you check your balance?

Blockchain is just one node and thus other nodes may have not rejected the transaction. I believe that the coins show back up in your wallet after some time, but you could always try restoring your seed to a new wallet if you need to use them now.

The situation here is that Blockchain.info decided to exclude out your transaction. The situation varies across the nodes and most of the node has likely not dropped your transaction.

The transaction will not even be propagated and shown in the wallet if its actually rejected by nodes due to the violation of protocol rules etc.

You can remove your transaction manually and try to create another transaction. If most of the nodes have dropped your transaction, the new transaction would get propagated well.

I do apologize because I know this same issue comes up often, but I am honestly confused.

My transaction has been rebroadcast this morning. I was hoping the unconfirmed transaction would time-out and the funds be available to spend again. When will it stop broadcasting and be available to spend again? Does it make any difference if I leave Electrum offline for a few days?

Transaction ID: c39ec1d328f92a7ed64bedff5029393ddca6b68caa3f68004a2905b1e35ff889

Thanks for all your help.

Its possible that leaving Electrum offline will prevent it from rebroadcasting. If you need to spend the funds quickly, you could attempt to restore your seed into a new wallet and respend those coins with a higher fee.

I have tried restoring the seed, but the funds remain unavailable. I can't figure out how to remove this transaction. When I restore the seed, it shows up again and the transaction is unconfirmed.

Electrum queries the server for transaction information and the nodes you are connected to likely still have the transaction. You can try to create another transaction that spends the same input but it would be hard since the network hasn't forgotten about your transaction.

Just submitted your transaction to ViaBTC. Theres a chance that they would include it into their next mined block.

Thank you. I think ViaBTC was able to get my transaction processed. The transaction went through.  I appreciate the help!
