Exactly that's why we can see there's plenty of online casinos who are operating now and they can do it easily. If you seek for the approval of the government, it will really take time and you have no assurance you will be approve. Since it's unregulated, it also gives us a good experience in gambling as they are not strict with the KYC thing.

And because of that gambling is prohibited in some of the bitcoin exchanges. Being regulated is sometimes helpful to us.

Yes we are having a freedom doing gambling using our bitcoin but in case of a gambling site fraud, customers doesn't have a protection and saying goodbye to their coins without a trace is possible. So while we are risking money everytime we gambled, we are risking too our trust to a gambling site.

I think that in most countries this does not yet exist, but certainly some are already advanced in this regard. The fact that there is no regulation in some cases is what attracts many users, because it has potential to attract people who live in countries where gambling is prohibited.

Hey,
our experience after doing some research is that most bitcoin casinos have restrictions when it come to which customers they accept. Countries like US, France, Spain and Israel are popular to block. That doesn't mean that all bitcoin casinos are doing that however. Even if gambling is banned in both Spain and France there are about 40 BTC casinos operating in those countries. To  better understand what rules there are and perhaps more importantly which casinos are available in these countries, take a look here: https://casinobitcoins.io/bitcoin-casino-spain/ and https://casinobitcoins.io/bitcoin-casino-france/ so far we have listed the available casinos in 13 countries: US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, India, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey and France. I hope it will be helpful for you.

Are there any regulations or oversight for bitcoin casinos?

I think you don't understand the difference between land based casino and bitcoins casino both are different. However if a casino wishes to be subjected to certain rules it can be and it'll always be displayed on their site.

One rule that I can tell you now is working on bitcoins casino is of KYC, if you win a very big amount you need to submit your documents I think that's the regulation you're referring to. However if you win small nothing happens no need to declare anywhere.

Yes that is right that both have differences, but i think that land base casino where casinos are legal must have their regularity authority who are making laws for casino, and giving them instruction, but in my country gambling is totally illegal therefore there is no as such regularity authority to are responsible to keep check on it, in my country gambling is totally baned and not legal.

the point of playing on an online gambling site and doing it with bitcoin is to escape all the regulations and possible restrictions, taxes, and all the headache of that. so in case some casino decided to become regulated they will just be killing their own business, it would be like shooting yourself in the foot while others are running ahead of you with a big distance between you and them!

not to mention that online gambling is not legal in many jurisdictions!

That is the tricky part because online gambling on some countries should be licensed first before they can even operate in that country. Now this Bitcoin gambling site do not cater to one country only as most of them accepts players internationally. I don't know whether what they are doing is legal or not but it maybe has something to do with them operating on cryptocurrencies and not involving Fiat Currencies, it maybe is there legal loophole that is why they can operate without even the government shutting them down. They are like Faucet sites or any Bitcoin related site.

When these bitcoin casinos get licensed they usually choose a country where their government allows casinos to operate such as in South America or Malta/Curaco.
Alot of countries do not allow casinos to be located in their jurisdiction because it is against the law to have a functioning casino in their boundaries.
Although having a license and it's location are two different things because the hosting of a bitcoin casino site can be completely somewhere else. Undecided

There isn't any requirement for getting license for a bitcoin casino as they are online and can be hosted anywhere, but if someone world like to get a license then they apply for the license in the country where there are pretty easy to pass rules as to avoid any conflicts and protect themselves from any legal problem. In India there are not many casino located and government is also not clear on the status of legality of casinos, I read somewhere that gambling or betting is banned in India but skill based games are allowed and casinos are skill based games.

I don't think there is but there is license, registering for every  casino owner. This license, registrations has also helped in cutting down fraud activities in the casino or the gambling industry.  But the problem that we might be facing is whether every casino owners are TRULY licensing their business as requested. I think it will be perfect if more regulations can be done in the casino business.

Gambling is prohibited in many countries. Again it is not prohibited but regulated in some countries. Overall this is the setting of the physical casinos. Bitcoin casinos (nowadays) are getting registered properly. But some are there which prefer the anonymity that crypto provides and not get registerd. Being registered only brings in more trouble. Taxation, legal problems with customers and all.

I mean i think there are but they are simple things such as age, etc

No. A lot more than that.

I think it's the same if the government has known it clearly, in my country any kind of gambling is forbidden but to gamble using bitcoin or crypto, so far still has no problem and still okay. I do not know with other countries.

Bitcoin may be anonymous (pseudo-anonymous to be precise) but the gambling site is often not so. There are many bitcoin casinos who are owned by people and these people are no longer anonymous. They are running a profitable business and they have to protect their interests. Thus it is better for them to get a licence and get "taxed" or so by their government following local rules.

The last thing that a successful bitcoin casino owner would want is the authorities knocking on their door for money laundering.

To the best of my knowledge I don't know any agency regulating like we have in the normal economy where gambling and betting sites are regulated by the National Lottery Commission but what I know is where they claim to have licenses from countries like Curacao but I don't think there is any form of regulations in the sense that when there is a dispute, rather than addressing it to those who issue the license, its brought to the forum where its being decided whether the gambling site is the one at fault or not.

When you are a gambling site owner that doesnt even tend or plan to go with regulation matters then you will surely be at risk where government would really knock out into your door and would sue out on the deserved tax that they would get.Regulated casinos do exist but non-regulated do exist as well too.Its your choice if you do wish to play or not but well this thing doesnt bother me as long the site is reputable and have good record towards into its users then i would still consider to play on it.

of course all companies have supervision and of course they have made permission to open a casino company located in a certain country, so they have permission to run their casino, the same bitcoin rate they are only supervised in their country and for their trust to build a reputation in some specific forums ,, like in this forum

Inevitably there should be rules and adhere to every rule if you want to get licenses in every region, huge amount of money and a goal to get a license in anticipation in the things that are not in want and get a very good reputation, and back again where the site it exists and there may be no government regulation and there is also a state that governs every casino for security reasons, it depends on the country it occupies.

Today's gambling is so widespread in every country that sets the rules for casinos, bitcoin casinos have great opportunities for regulation, each region determining the type of gambling activity legalized within its borders. That's why there are other laws that apply in every region, which governs gambling. so it all depends on where the bitcoin casino is located, between the possibility of no rules and the enforcement of regulations, but if the absence of such regulations can be called illegal.
