Very confusing, sorry to say. The original time was 8:00 AEST which is Australian Eastern Standard Time. I thought it was changed to 8 PM ET which is in about 49 minutes.

Based on the OP's updated post, I read it at 8:00am EST NY Time, which was 11 hours ahead. The auction ended on time.

Just a suggestion, always good to imbed countdown timer live link to take any confusion out of ending time.
