Hello,

I've been asking around in a few threads but haven't received an answer, so I feel forced to create a thread about it. Hopefully I'll get a quick reply and can close it so I won't clutter up the forum as much. Sorry.

Long story short, I've gotten a fairly decent price for two Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro's and am tempted to purchase them for mining. Electricity is free and I've got more than enough power from my PSU to power them both.

So I'm wondering what the current hash rate (as of writing) is for ETH, PASC, XMR and ZEC.

I've been googling for hours the last couple of days but haven't found a single recentanswer for them. The only one I've found is regarding ETH+PASC from a single user who claims to get 30.5 MH/s ETH and 600 H/s for PASC when dual mining with the new 8.0 version from Claymore. Other than that, it's all old posts and we all know how quickly things can change. For example, posts claiming to get 150 Sols/s isn't really up-to-date.

Nicehash's calculator isn't really helpful either.

Thank you for reading!

I'm looking for that answer myself.
I can tell you for my cards, gtx 970 and 1070, both lightly OC'd.
I'm getting 270 and 420 h/s for ZEC, which is currently very profitable for me.

I'm planning to do a far bigger farm, but I'm still fighting with myself over which cards will I take.
Currently ZEC is booming, but how long will that last? And nvidia is far better for it than AMD,
yet AMD is better for other coins, such as ETH, so I'm not sure...

Thank you for the reply! However, while you've certainly reduced the energy consumption, I'm interested in the highest possible hash rates since my electricity is free. If you or anyone else has any up-to-date hash rates when not clocked for low wattage, that would be great!

Thank you

Here you go

Windows 10
15.2 AMD Driver
Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.1

Every setting left at stock other than the fans.
The card make/model is : SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon™R9 FURY 4G HBM with Back Plate

430+ H/s

Thank you! That's the two cards I've ordered as well. I'm a bit disappointed though, seeing Claymore claims to have his v12.1 running at 450 Sols/s on a Nano. I was under the impression that the Fury is a faster card than the Nano?

Now if only someone is mining PASC or maybe some different ETH dual mining at max speed that would be great.

Tested PASC for you
915+ mh on same setup above, downloaded the miner and ran it with default settings
I am sure you will be able to get better results with tweaking or trying another miner

You're awesome, thank you! Although there's currently no other miner that's better than the one you're using (perhaps Nicehash's Excavator but that one only works for Nvidia cards, which I've been using on my GTX 1080).

How much per card without undervolt? I was thinking buy some GTX 1070 Hybrid (460$ - 470 Sol/s) but the R9 Fury (360$) has 450Sol/s for 100$ less.

The price of electricity is not a problem, it's more than I want to 6x R9 Fury with a PSU of 1200, I do not want to use 2 psu per rig.

I do not find any information about power usage of GTX 1070 Hybrid and R9 Fury (Non X) both stock.

That's a very good result, even though they are old cards they are performing very good.
Why no-one consider them when they build their rigs?

Actually this is a very helpful thread.  There is a great deal right now on R9 Fury (w/o backplate) for $259 on amazon.  I am planning on building a 6x gpu rig, and already have several 4x running RX 480's, but with the current prices I am at a loss for what to do.

R9 Fury's are older technology, and may take a big hit when Vega comes out, but they still mine well, especially dual mining, and are ~$259 before rebate.
RX 480 8gb is being superseded by the RX 580 series, but they are just rebadged.  They use much less power than the Fury but are worse at dual mining, and they cost at best ~$210 (really more like $225) and if you try and buy more than 1 you can't get the rebates.

GTX 1070 at $320 will probably retain its value best, and hashes zec well, but is expensive, not sure about dial mining performance.
GTX 1080 recently was on sale for $419, which was awesome, but I still think its to expensive for the mining performance.

I just want to get an idea from everyone, given the prices I mention, which YOU would do if you were building a rig, and could (hypothetically) afford any of the above?

Thanks for the advice!

Total mining noob here, but using a Sapphire Fury Nitro oc and thought I'd chime in

The two settings I go for are -96mv 1000mhz clock 500mhz ram and get 440 H/s using claymore. (Zcash)

I've got a lazy oc profile as well stock mv 1100mhz clock and 525mhz ram and I get 480 H/s (Zcash)

On those two profiles I didn't even try to find the limits yet either, I just dialled them in straight and they worked, could potentially push them further but haven't bothered yet.

Sadly as of yet I can't tell what my power draw is, also got another Fury on the way, managed to pick them up for the same price as a RX580.

Hope this helps
