The question is when do you know if someone is pumping and dumping?I guess no one can tell until its done and someone admited to have done it. So if you have enough money to buy Bitcoin then go ahead and buy, dont look at the exchange rate and get used to Bitcoins up and down price.

Well if you are watching the market all the time and have quite a bit of experience in bitcoin trading speculation and markets then you kinda might predict whether the price is going to go down or up in like a few hours before the real pump, but it is still really hard to predict the smaller pumps and dumps. Though if the price starts going up really quick and a lot then you might expect the price go down to smaller numbers so you can sell all some of your bitcoins, then when the price gets dumped for like 200 dollars or something you can buy it back as the price has a good chance to go up significantly.

If we see the graph, there will be some correction to less than $1100 I think. But i can not sure about that because bitcoin price is very difficult to predict correctly.
 So you just have to do what makes you believe you will get profit. Actually, if you are not skilled at trading you need special guidance from a professional trader, actually buy now or wait for prices to go down was not a problem when a professional guide you. You will also take some knowledge of it.

It totally depends on how much time you can wait. As people told you short term isn't good even I agree to that. If you can wait for 2 years then I can assure you that you will get X2 for your bitcoins.
And also don't worry that you are late the price is just the start of a new era.

The short term can be amazing too if you like to gamble. If the ETF passes, and you buy now, we may see $2,000+, so that's a great short term investment.

Of course, anyone that wants to invest in bitcoin should look at it long term if they want life changing money. In 10 years we will be rich assuming you are holding at least 10+.
Yeah that's right but whatever happens if you purchase bitcoim never ever visit a gambling site and think about investing in it. The reason I had a friend I recommend him to buy bitcoin he was saving for 3 months and then he finally bought 1 btc. Just the next day after he bought he told me everything is gone in gambling.

He was responding to a bullshit troll post by Kwukduck whom you probably have on ignore.

Reading MatTheTwat's post makes me want to put him back on ignore.

When noobs come here earnestly seeking advice, the last thing they need is to be misled by trolls.

Gambling != Investing. The same can happen with fiat. Gamblers lose most of the time, statistically always in the long term.

That was not true for the last 12 months.
AMD stock outperformed BTC by a long shot (AMD 2$ to 14$ -> 7.5x, BTC from 4xx $ to 1200$ -> 3x).

We should not invest in something we don’t have an idea of how it works, if you don’t know anything about stocks then you are gambling since you are hoping to win based on your luck alone, if your field of expertise are crypto currencies then that is where you should invest.

That was not true for the last 12 months.
AMD stock outperformed BTC by a long shot (AMD 2$ to 14$ -> 7.5x, BTC from 4xx $ to 1200$ -> 3x).

...and looking at the bigger picture, BTC just crept above it's ATH. AMD stock is still only a fraction of it's ATH, even after a 750% run....

.....truth is, AMD been in the shithouse for years, with their lacklustre processors that nobody wants. Next week, AMD release Ryzen, which smokes it's Intel competitors and costs less, in some cases much less. Sure, much of the rise in value based upon the anticipated market reception of Ryzen is already baked in, and for this reason, an investor has got to be looking for pullbacks and/or consolidations before they make their entry, but AMD stock has now got to be seen as being in a bull market. Whilst the big moves (in % profits terms) have already registered, get a pullback to $9, and I could easily see AMD get up to around $40 in the fullness of time.

For AMD, the future is rosy. For Bitcoin, after this Winkledouche ETF, Bitcoin has fuck all going for it except the same old bag of scalability and regulatory issues, not to mention having hit it's ATH on ultra low volume. If Bitcoin even doubled in value, that would be an astounding move that would defy any rational expectations. All the value baked into the Bitcoin price right now is based upon the actions of relatively few heavily invested players in the Bitcoin sphere, in anticipation of a whole load of events that may never happen.......I think Bitcoin will get up to around $1500 in the end before the bull market pops it's clogs and the The Age Of Karhu returns, but man, is it a fucking highly risky investment right now.

We do not know if the price will go down more or the price could be increase more above $1200. We already touch in this price and now the price was decrease back to $1170 and i think better to wait more or buy few in this price and wait for the result in few days if the price was increase more you can gain profit even a small amount but if the price is going to decrease wait for a good timing to buy..

We should not invest in something we don’t have an idea of how it works, if you don’t know anything about stocks then you are gambling since you are hoping to win based on your luck alone, if your field of expertise are crypto currencies then that is where you should invest.

A stock, is a share in the value of a company, out there in the real world, making real products, and making real profits. In the case of AMD, they are about to release a great new CPU which will put their brand right back on the map, and then some time down the line, they release a GPU which should do the same thing. Profits and market share should improve significantly, hence the value of their stock should  continue it's broad rise.

Bitcoin, is a share in the value of a cryptographic ledger. A ledger system that is as of yet to offer any practical advantages to end users (not involved with darknet markets or small time fiscal control evaders) over conventional finance, whilst financial institutions are busy developing their own crypto ledger systems.

The point is, for those looking to make a fast buck (most people here), Bitcoin just isn't that good a prospect right now, offering way lower likely net returns with way way more risk than many conventional stocks, with AMD just being one example.

The price of bitcoin has increased very rapidly these days which is unsustainable for long, so I think an important correction will occur soon. I would expect a price below $1,000 to buy more coins.

If you can afford to wait then do it the price is too high, wait until we are close to the 1000 price and then buy, if you want be part of bitcoin for a long time you will make money with this approach and if you want to make money on the short term then you will probably make some money too.
It is always up to you if you have the ability to take the risk then go. But, if I were you don't buy for now as you can see the price is too high, for me I can't afford to buy in that amount and wanted to buy if the price is below $900 or less, but if you are just after to hold bitcoin as an investment and don't plan to withdraw within the year then go for it, if not then just be patiently wait.

That should be your choice IMO rather than relying on other opinions, because either can happen at this point. BTC can keep moving up and can fall down - even massively -. Even if someone's advice does hit it wouldn't mean more than little luck at that time IMO.
You should decide it yourself whether you are willing to take a risk now, or wait a little and do further research, and perhaps buy cheaper.

if someone could predict the market accurately, they would be making millions considering how big the BTC market is now.
