i think it has already been established that for buying bitcoin you should never "get ready to..." as in wait to buy. you should just do it. right then and there as soon as you have got some extra money and wanted to invest that in bitcoin.
otherwise, chances will slip by you just like that, and you see price over $2000 soon and regret not buying at $1200

i'm with you because bitcoin have a higher chance to increase in the future, and with this last pump it seems so, but there is always a certain risk to fall again because of hackers, because of bug or hard fork or any other things, too much unknown variables, but yes anyone will regret not buying now when bitcoin will be $1500 with EFT approval, $2k is still too much imho, too far away, by looking how slowly this thing si rising it's better to think about $1500 as a next target

We'll soon hit $1250 finally surpassing the MtGox ATH. And probably some idiots will sell, then they will see it grow to $1300. Isn't life wonderful as a bitcoin holder?

The price did exactly as you said: I was watching yesterday when it hovered around S1,250 then dropped momentarily by $10. A very healthy breach today at $1,300 means even if it breaks again, it can't easily let go of 1K. Going to see some profit-taking this weekend, with an opening on Monday below 1,200?

From the day after the price fall due to China's People's Bank inspection people are into panic, what's gonna happen in the near future. For that panic people got a price increase which once took the price above $1000. This time as the price increase is moving forward the panic too is increasing. I have been hodling since the price was sitting well below the $300 mark, and so far I have almost constantly kept hodling beside a few cash out moments in order to be able to buy back in case the price drops.

And yes, it feels amazing. Especially if you see that Bitstamp peaked at $1298 today and probably will break through $1300 within a few days, having the usual calmer weekends in mind.

Yeah the movement of the bitcoin price is really unpredictable. i doubt if i buy more of bitcoin and the big red candle will come and take dump all of the market. so too risky for buy more bitcoin in this time.

The price bubble is really interesting and i hope we would see a correction next week and it all depends upon the news on march 11 th and i am glad that Chinese will not the interfering in the price of bitcoin this time around.  and that was the major complaint for everyone that China is manipulating the price of bitcoin. 10% fluctuations are nothing for any commodity and it is always most common for bitcoin prices. I am too sure that we can expect a small fall down after reaching the big round number $2000 levels because it must be a physiological target for both traders and investors. They will book profits at those levels to leave another round opportunities for active traders.

But when very first time bitcoin prices was testing $1000 levels, it was not finding big sell off there as new investors were in more numbers than sellers. Similarly in $2000 levels too we can expect the same thing then same ~10% pull back will happen around $2080 levels.

The question on how much price will drop has no certain value and it only depends on the buy and sell movement of digital currency, reality always speaks the actual results and not the rumors. OP was right, here is the dip, now buy and stop crying when it keeps climbing again. Peak was $1298, now we dipped at $1229, very typical of bitcoin. Idiots panic sold, smart people bought more. See you at $1300.

Nothing prevents the price to maintain the $1000 level at the time the ETF does not get approved and a powerful chain of panic sellers start dumping like there is no tomorrow. Panic is a dangerous weapon for each and every market because people in panic don't think before they act. That's why I never rule out the price to fall to certain price levels. I have seen it happen often enough that the price kept goint down to levels people were thinking they were impossible to reach.

Price is getting higher and higher now and we can expect the same in coming months too so if you are a true believer of bitcoin then you can afford to buy even with a current price as it will definitely give you good profits in future but if you are looking for short term profits then better to wait for some more days and see whether price goes down or not and take your decisions accordingly as majority of users will feel that current price is too high to buy bitcoins.

If ETF goes in a positive way then we will see much higher price of bitcoins so I think this is still a good price to buy bitcoins and wait till ETF gets approval but the fact is not many can afford to buy at present price as it may be much higher and they would be expecting price to go down so that they can buy bitcoins at cheaper price so buying them now may be risky as we don't know whether price will go higher or lower in coming days.
