I mine with 500mh  I hit a block every 5 days

I hit an uncle the other day

If you mine with 100mh figure 25 days for each block

very rough estimate but yes.

you stand a 1 in 16 chance you get an uncle  so you could be at 9 coins not 5.

also diff can jump and it could take 26 to 27 days.

so there is more risk mining full blocks on eth pool with hash  like yours.

I would want  at least 250mh  and hit one every 10 days at worst.

Think the op has a block a day and is over 2600mh

@mtice - Not really sure what the question is.  You can P.M

Regarding Uncles.  I have a big family.  They visit me often.  One just stop by and say Holla...........Coma Esta?

P.S Just got 10 x MSI Ref 480 4GB.  Sorry to inform everyone.  They change things.  You can no longer flash 8GB ROM onto these.  Sucks...............  Now I have to mess with Mem straps and Undervolting via Watt tools.  No fun

Hi philipma1957, i don't understand this!

Can you please explain? Are you referring to Solo mining in this case?

IF someone mines @ 2.5GH+, what's the best way to go for?

I see ethermine and ethpool have different pay status, one pays uncle only, don't understand.

If you can please give a short brief!

Thanks

6 Months ago the general rule of thumb is if you're under 1GH, stay with Ethermine.org.  Today since the difficulty has double, I would say the rule of thumb is 2GH or higher.  Etheremine.org splits all Uncle payments among the entire pool so if you want guarantee pay, stay there.  If you want to GAMBLE go to Ethpool.  The bigger your hash, the more likely you're going to get an Uncle and keep it.  But if your luck is bad and you're not hitting uncles often, Ethermine would be more pay.  If you pool hop often to other coins, stick with Ethermine as your credit won't be worth anything until you have enough to hit a Block which right now is over 155T and quickly growing!

Just for a curiosity yun, you seem completly focused on ETH, have you tried dual mining ETH+PASCAL, i heard it was very good, what's your input on that ?

Cheers.

@ cavaliersrus - It's my Mining shed

@ m1n1ngP4d4w4n - Yes, I'm having fun with my Thermal Camera per your recommendation.  I'm doing a lot of cool things with it and will share once I collect more good usage data with it.    ETH + PASCAL IS $$$$$$$$$$$$$.  My partner's entire RACK is currently dual mining ETH and PASCAL.  I only have 1 Test RIG doing that as all of my Windows RIGs are on Awesome miner and are set up as "Managed Miner".  What that means is until Awesome miner upgrade to V8 and support Dual mining, I can't make them dual mine unless I stop the service and do it manually.  I have too many rigs to be doing anything manual these days.  Not sure about NVIDIA but for AMD, Dual mining with Pascal seems very stable and excellent money.

@ Tasty Potato - It's the Sun heating and reflecting off the concrete blocks.

@ dudutti -  If setup properly, ETH + Pascal and undervolting seem to do very well and may use less power than ETH+DCRI depending on your ROM.  The income from Pascal seem to be very good and is almost enough to cover the electricity for the entire rig.  For RX470, a 7 GPU rig does about 156 ETH + 2300+ Pascal.  I have't measure the wattage but RX470 with mod ROM are very efficient.   I actually have 7 running on a 1000W Platinum PSU when I ran the test.  You do lose a lot of Eth to get the Pascal for RX470.  For RX480 you lose less ETH.  It ranges depending on which RX480 you're running and the ROM you're using but it can be around 180s ETH plus over 2300 Pascal and only use around 160-170W.  If the card is not setup for undervolting and are NOT using efficient ROM, the wattage can go as high as over 200W especially the Ref 480s.

@ Citronick - Yes, the FURIES are making a Killing on ZEC.

@ AriesIV10 - Thanks.....

I am lucky to have hung on to the R9 Nanos - nearly sold them to gpushack- - never knew that these small guys were absolute cracker with Optiminer. I have 45 of them - all ROIed during the 2015-16 ETH days.

Even on -100mV/800/500 they deliver 370-390 S/s per card. Stock 400+ S/s easy.

Are you excited on upcoming VEGA with HBM yet?

I am itching to fill 9 x Rosewills into a rack with VEGAs.... should I or should I not....  Huh
